Would an upper blepharoplasty revision with epicanthy reposition my eyebrow tattoo?

Question

I am considering on getting both my brows tatted and a upper blepharoplasty revision with epicanthy. My artist of choice has limited availability and I am in need of new brows since I lasered my old brow tattoo off. However, I don't want to get my brow tatted first if the blepharoplasty revision will re-position my brows, making it uneven.

The eyebrow and the eyelid are two separate units and should be treated as such. Eyelid surgery may change the shape and appearance of your eyelid but should not alter the position or appearance of the eyebrow. If possible, I would consider waiting on your eyebrow tattoo until after your surgery to ensure you're pleased with the appearance of your eye area. Some patients who are concerned about heaviness or hooding of the eyes, may also benefit from a brow lift. I would talk with your plastic surgeon to see if he/she recommends that for you as well.

However here are my comments:
-like building a house … start with the foundation (surgical revision).
-then paint the house (tattooing of brows).

I trust you have chosen a Plastic Surgeon who is experienced and Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In addition ideally a members  of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (denoting by membership as having met additional criteria and a focus on Cosmetic Plastic Surgery).

Generally speaking, a blepharoplasty revision tend to be fairly minor procedures, and it’s unlikely it will change your brow position. Without seeing pictures, we can’t begin to make an assessment and I suggest you forward your question to your surgeon who’s going to do the procedure since they have a better understanding of what you’re going to do.
