Severe pain at injection sites on donor area?

4 days after my FUE procedure I am suffering from extreme pain at the back of my head where I was injected. Instead of the pain subsiding it is getting increasingly worse. It is a burning combined with muscle ache. Is this normal? The donor area is healing well and there is no pain to speak of there.

If you want to have wet cupping on your head after surgery, it is best to contact your doctor.  Your doctor may want to know.

It can take 6 to 12 months after surgery to see results.  If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor.  Some don't see results at 6 months.  Some may see results at 12 months.

Hello,We advise to avoid sexual activity for first week after hair transplantation.  The rationale is to avoid increasing blood pressure.  There are no studies supporting this however.   Best  Anil Shah MD

It is best to see a doctor for an exam before considering what you want and what method of graft harvesting.  Some patients with curly hair are poor FUE candidates.

Hello,The donor area after FUE, whether by hand or ARTAS, takes some time to heal.  Most patients heal atraumatically over a period of weeks.  As your hairs begin to grow, the donor area becomes harder to see.  Daily washes with mild soap can help keep the donor area clean.  If scabs form, mil...
