Hi, i think my upper lip sticks out too far, could you please tell me what can be done to fix it and which area will be augmented ie. The upper lip or the bottom/chin? Thank you
Answer: This looks like a jaw development issue. For some folks, they are not interested in having their upper and lower jaws broken and the long term braced needed to readjust the bite needed to fix this issue. An oral surgeon would be the specialist who does this type of work. This will advance the jaw and chin and improve the relationship between the upper and lower lip. It also has powerful benefits for the overall facial appearance.

Answer: It's not the top lip ... I agree with the others who have pointed out that your photo suggests that your lower jaw does not project far enough forward. To make a decision about what to do, it may be helpful to determine which fits your circumstances: 1. Do you have dental issues from a poorly developed lower jaw? If so, this is not a purely cosmetic situation. You should seek an oral maxillofacial surgeon to discuss surgery to align your upper and lower jaws. 2. Do the teeth of your upper and lower jaws align nicely? If that is the case, then this is purely cosmetic question. In this situation, you could have filler placed in your chin for temporary improvement or have a chin and/or jaw implant placed surgically for a long term result. If you are curious as to how much an implant could improve your appearance, you could start with filler in the chin and see how you like it. This could help you make a decision about pursuing surgery. Best of luck to you.

Answer: How could I make my top lip align with my bottom lip? Thank you for sharing your question. Unfortunately your picture offers a limited view of your profile but it appears that your chin is a bit small and set back relative to your upper jaw. You may see some benefit from dermal filler placement but likely best to see an ASPS board certified plastic surgeon or an oral-maxillofacial surgeon for a consultation. Best wishes.

Answer: Improving Lip Symmetry and Shape with Lip Augmentation--Fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Volbella), Implants, Fat This is tough to tell from your pictures, but these fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a symmetrical top and bottom lip. Nova threads can be used to improve lift and shape. Implants or fat are alternatives. Technique will be important here, so you'll want to see someone meticulous. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Balancing of the Lips Dear user93832:Difficult to give an approximate answer without a full lateral photo, but from what is illustrated I would recommend chin augmentation with a dermal filler like Voluma. Please see an expert injector with an eye for angles, proportions and balance. Best wishes.
