I had 25 units of botox inserted in my forehead and above my brows. Later topped up with 10 units above my brows as there was still creases. After the injections i began to suffer from anxiety. Does botox trigger anxiety? when i raise my brows 1 looks higher than the other but when resting they look even. The practitioner said she can inject more but my head already feels frozen and heavy. Is the amount of botox used correct for the forehead and how long will the feeling last? Thankyou [RS bleep]
Answer: Exercise techniques From your photo it appears that you are attempting to raise your eyebrows. You may find that you are able to raise one eyebrow more easily than the other simply because the muscle in one eyebrow is stronger than the other. The way in which the Botox was injected will also have an influence on this but I wouldn't worry about this too much since you said yourself, it looks natural when your face is relaxed. Practicing some eyebrow raising lifting exercises may help you resolve the heaviness. Some patients do state that they feel a sense of heaviness which fades in and out when they have Botox. This is natural and it depends on whether you can cope with the feeling or not. This feeling will dissipate as the Botox wears off. I wouldn't recommend having further Botox until your existing Botox has dissolved in three to six months time. After this time period, you can reconsider whether you would like to repeat the treatment. The anxiety will probably fade once the problem has been resolved.

Answer: Botox / Dysport / Xeomin and Asymmetrical Results -- Takes 3-4 months to go away! It will take 3-4 weeks for the botox to calm down and then 3-4 months for it to resolve. If you do not like this look, you will want less dose or a different injection pattern in the future. Please see an expert. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Right amount of Botox. This does sound like the right amount of Botox. Minor asymmetry is normal and performing a "touch up" a few weeks later is considered appropriate to achieve a more ideal result. I suggest you see your injector. You look great and this issue is not considered a complication from treatment. Perhaps taking something for your anxiety will help to reduce some of your symptoms. Best wishes, Dr. ALDO

Answer: Heavy forehead Thank you for your question. That is very high dose of Botox for the forehead. When you immobilize the frontalis muscle (the forehead) you can get a very heavy feeling because you can no longer lift your brows up. Try a lower dose next time. I typically start with 8-12 units. Botox lasts 3-4 months. Best of luck to you!

Answer: Not unusual So heaviness is not at all unusual after botox injections into forehead frown lines .That exact muscle in fact is designed to raise your eyebrows and thus will inevitably feel heavy. Anxiety is a normal part of doing something scary and new but not specifically related to botox in my experience. If you are uneven then your practitioner can even you out with some more botox above your brow or if they are very experienced, a little below each bro which should alleviate the heaviness as well. Hope that helps. Adam Goodwin
