I am 5'8, 60kg and I currently wear a 34AA. My BWD is 12cm. I want a natural look that's not hugely obvious, max small C cup. I would like to avoid the ball in a sock look. My surgeon suggested 290cc anatomical implants placed over or under the muscle (however as I am athletic he said over might be better). If I preferred the round implants he said they would need to be placed under the muscle as I am quite slim and it would look to obvious. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Answer: Good advice The advice you have been given does not sound unreasonable. I always stress to my patients that I cannot guarantee the final cup size because it is not a precise science. The width and the profile are as important as the volume and it sounds like you are quite well informed about this.If you are not comfortable with the advice you have been given (which I assume since you are posting on here), then I would recommend that you seek opinions from other surgeons. Look for FRCS(Plast) after their name to make sure they are a plastic surgeon and you can download a guide with questions to ask you surgeon from my website. Good luck, I think you should be able to get a nice result.

Answer: Implant choices Thank you for your question. I would imagine that either of the options you mentioned would get you to a B/C cup size with a very natural result. I agree with all that you have written in terms of above/below the pec muscle, and implant styles. The round gel implants tend to be a bit softer in feel, while the shaped implants can give a slightly more natural look sometimes. I'd encourage you to try out the implants one more time before surgery to be sure. Best wishes.
