Answer: Are 450cc breast implants too big for me? Thank you for the question. Ultimately, careful communication of your goals (in my practice I prefer the use of goal pictures, direct examination/communication in front of a full-length mirror, in bra sizers, and computer imaging) as well as careful measurements (dimensional planning) will be critical. Generally speaking, the best online advice I can give to ladies who are considering breast augmentation surgery ( regarding breast implant size/profile selection) is:1. Concentrate on choosing your plastic surgeon carefully. Concentrate on appropriate training, certification, and the ability of the plastic surgeon to achieve the results you are looking for. Ask to see lots of examples of his/her work. 2. Have a full discussion and communication regarding your desired goals with your plastic surgeon. This communication will be critical in determining breast implant size/type/profile will most likely help achieve your goals. In my practice, the use of photographs of “goal” pictures (and breasts that are too big or too small) is very helpful. For example, I have found that the use of words such as “natural” or "full C cup" etc means different things to different people and therefore prove unhelpful. Also, as you know, cup size varies depending on him who makes the bra; therefore, discussing desired cup size may also be inaccurate. Again, the use of computer imaging has been very helpful during the communication process, in our practice. 3. Once you feel you have communicated your goals clearly, allow your plastic surgeon to use his/her years of experience/judgment to choose the breast implant size/profile that will best meet your goals. Again, in my practice, this decision is usually made during surgery, after the use of temporary intraoperative sizers. I hope this (and the attached link, dedicated to breast augmentation surgery concerns) helps. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with.

Answer: Sizable breast implant, thin woman Dear C9402,That is a sizable implant, and you are a thin woman. The result will more likely be a full D cup. However, you are relatively tall and can likely carry that size with a natural look. There are breast sizing and imaging systems that can give you a reasonable idea of how a 450cc breast implant will look on your frame. Good luck!

Answer: Are 450cc breast implants too big for me? You must respect your feelings. If you feel 450 cc breast implants are too large for you then they most likely are too large. I think it is inappropriate for surgeons to push patients to have larger breast implants than the patient initially wants. The size of your breast implant should be based on the base width of your breast. Your plastic surgeon should major the width of your breast and use that dimension to choose an appropriately sized moderate profile plus implant for the most natural look.It is true that it takes approximately 150-200 cc of breast implant to increase you by one cup size in the same style and manufacturer of bra that you currently wear.It can also be helpful to place breast implant sizers into a non-padded bra so that you can see and feel how you will look with this particular volume.Based on your weight your thin and likely have a petite frame and since you are concerned about not going to large I would concur that the 450 cc is most likely too large for you. Answer: Implant selection You would really need to be evaluated in person and also you would need to review your goals with your surgeon. You can perform a baggy test to get a rough idea of what you might want. Best of luck.
