What is the largest implant size a person can get in the United States?

Thanks for your question.  The only way to get to the sizes that you are looking for in the US is by overfilling saline implants. This will give you a larger breast but come at the cost of a firmer feeling breast.  Also, the more the implants are overfilled, the more round the will become in shape. Overfilling is considered "off label," and may void the manufacturers warranty.  seek out a surgeon who has experience in large volume augmentations.   Bset Regads.

It is very difficult to determine the exact size and shape implant you will require to best match your ideal breast image without an examination by a board certified plastic surgeon. Not just any board certified plastic surgeon, but one with many years of frequently performing breast augmentation surgery including different approaches, techniques and implant choices. This is because several measurements not to mention your breast characteristics are needed to determine the optimal implant size to obtain your goals. Without knowing these dimensions it would be difficult to make this determination. For example, the existing base width of your breast will determine, in many cases, the maximal volume per implant profile that you can accommodate. To illustrate; a 100 cc difference may make a significant difference with a narrow base width breast, but much less of a difference if you have a wide chest wall and wide breast “foot print”. Therefore, just because your friend may have a great result with let’s say a 350 cc implant to make her go from a “A” cup to a “C” cup size does not mean that you will have the same result with the same size implant. . Further simply placing implants in a bra to determine the size best for you is not always accurate as the bra often distorts the size, is dependent on the pressure the bra places plus the implant is outside your breast and not under it among other variables. Computer software morphing programs that automatically determine the best implant size can be helpful in some but not all cases (e.g. doesn’t work well in my experience with existing implants, sagging or asymmetric breasts). Using “want to be” photos however are useful if simply provided to the surgeon as I will further explain in the below link.

Hello VABGM, thank you for the question, for silicone the most you can go is to 800cc, and for saline you can probably go above that. It is very important that you discuss this with your surgeon, my best advice is to seek a board certified plastic surgeon, see if you are a candidate for it based on your medical profile and anatomy. do have fill volumes that exceed 1000 cc's... but be careful of what you wish for as they will eventually stretch out your skin and droop and now you're looking at a salvage mastopexy with smaller implants.  Most people want a procedure that will last them for a long time.

Hello VABGM,Thank you for your question.  The largest silicone gel implant available in the U.S. is 800cc, and there is currently a study underway by one of the major implant manufacturers to test larger gel implants up to 1800cc.  However, these larger gel sizes are only to be sued for reconstruction.  Saline implants also max out at 800cc, but know that your surgeon can overfill these devices.  Although not recommended, you can place 1000, 1200 and even 1400cc of saline into an 800cc device.  Please be careful though as complications increase as you increase in size.

XL sized implants are my specialty.The largest silicone implant one can get in the US is 800cc. Custom silicoine implants are available though in Europe through my office. I can order them for my patients in any dimension which they customize. They are expensive and it does take time to obtain. I place therm in my satellite offices in either Nassau/Anquilla or Italy. 

It is possible to have a custom size implant made of any size of not avaialble in standard issue. Implants over 1200cc usually have to be custom ordered.

Thank you for your question.  Yes 800 cc as the largest silicon gel implant available.  Saline implants can be filled to larger sizes.  However I have never seen a "beautiful" breast with 1000 to 1200 cc breast implants.  These large sizes stretch the breast to an unnatural appearance, often get hard,  and in my opinion look distorted.
