Day 8post op with 450 and 500cc implants. My boobs feel so small. Will they fill up on the lower pole when they drop? I'm sooooo upset I was expecting really big boobs and they're tiny (I'm quite curvey myself I have an hourglass shape so bigger boobs look best on me). I feel I've wasted almost 5k
Answer: 450cc and 500cc implants my boobs feel too small. Any suggestions? Please relax and try to understand that it is far too early to be concerned about the size of your breasts after breast augmentation. The 450 cc and 500 cc breast implants are quite large and should increase your breasts size by at least 2 cups. This early after your surgery the breast implant is compressed and spread out by the pressure of the overlying tissues and you can see on your photographs that the breast implants are very high and spread out and thus look much smaller. It will take at least 3 months for the implants to drop and normalize and I am quite confident that she will have much larger looking breast once the implants have settled.I understand and sympathize with your concern and it is very very common this early after surgery. However if he were my patient I would want you to express her concerns directly to me and not follow Internet advice.

Answer: Feel too small after breast augmentation. I'm sorry to hear about the concerns you are experiencing after breast surgery. If you are early phase out of breast augmentation surgery, it is quite likely that you are experiencing significant “emotional ups and downs” unnecessarily. You should be aware that a significant percentage of patients at the early stages of recovery will feel that they are too big or (more commonly) too small. I routinely ask my patients to wait at least 3-6 months before evaluating the end results of the breast augmentation surgery. This waiting time allows patients to (usually) physically and psychologically adapt to the new body image. In other words, it is too early to evaluate the outcome of the procedure performed; your breasts will undoubtedly change over the course of the next several weeks/months. For example, many of my patients report that as the swelling around the breast implants (for example, in the sternal area) decreases, they feel that their breasts appear more projecting. Also, in my opinion, the "drop and fluff” phenomenon does hold some validity; as breast implants “settle”, many patients feel that their breasts actually look larger. Although online consultants cannot predict whether or not you will be pleased with the long-term outlook, of the procedure performed, it is safe to predict that the breasts will change. Do your best to stay emotionally even keeled. Best wishes.

Answer: Implants Chosen Are Too Small We're sorry to hear you are not happy with the size of your new breast implants. Breasts do change shape as you heal and they "drop" into place, but they will not increase in size.Unfortunately, this is a common complaint from women who decided to be conservative in their choice of implant size,or really didn't understand sizing. Many women don't want "others to notice" or fear ridicule if they select large implants, or they try to decide through bra cup size rather than what looks best on them. Many are influenced by friends who received a certain size implant and they feel that by requesting the same size, they'll have the same result. This isn't the case, as every woman's body is different from another and while 500cc implants may look proportional for one woman, it may look too small or too large on another, even if their height/weight is similar. Body structure is different, as are the breasts themselves. An experienced plastic surgeon can give his/her opinion, but ultimately the decision is the patient's. When a patient is later disappointed and wishes they had "gone bigger," the only option is to wait about six months so you can heal up and have a "Remove and Replace" procedure done. The current implants are removed and larger implants inserted. Unfortunately, you will have to pay another surgery fee for this new surgery, but you now have a much better idea of what you are looking for. This is why at DrYoungForever we spend time with our patients to explain sizing and to try to determine what their goals are. We encourage all women considering breast implants to consider size carefully.

Answer: Implant choice Thanks for your question and photographs. Its too early to determine your final result. Your implants are quite large so your final result should be quite adequate for you. Over the coming months your implants will settle and soften and you will begin to get an idea of your final result. Be patient.

Answer: Breast Size Yes, it is very normal for breasts to be high and tight this soon after surgery, especially if you had very small breasts to begin with. You just recently had surgery and it is still too soon to see any noticeable results. The skin needs time to stretch to accommodate the new implants and settle into place. Right now it is too soon to access how they will permanently look. Most implants "drop" within 2-3 months following surgery but everyone is different and some people can take up to a year before the implants settle into their permanent position. The lower pole should fill up more after they drop. Give it time and be patient and the shape and size will improve over time. Check with your surgeon to determine their recommendations.
