Hello, I had 2 rounds of liposuction done on my abdomen which unfortunately has left me with dimpled skin. My 2nd round was Vaser so I'm grateful to have no loose skin but is there any procedures recommended to help with this? Perhaps Morpheus8?
Answer: Uneven skin after lipo First, thank you for including a picture, it is very helpful. Second, there should not be dimpling of the skin with a uniformly performed liposuction. It can happen, but it should be a rare occurrence. Having said that, Morpheus can be a potentially fantastic fix for filling in dimpling with even one body treatment at a minimal depth of 4mm.

Answer: Morpheus8 can help even out skin texture caused by Liposuction. Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

As is often the case with things like this, prevention is always better than treatment. Having surgery with an experienced and board-certified plastic surgeon who is trained to avoid these types of outcomes is so much better than trying to fix them after the fact. Repairing this type of damage is difficult, usually requires multi-modality treatment, and sometimes requires multiple treatment sessions.
