Scars always involve the superficial layers of the skin and some involve deeper layers of the skin. You have to treat the superficial layers of the skin to get a significant improvement in the appearance. Ablative laser resurfacing (CO2 laser and Erbium) is the best option to reduce the appearance of the scar. Radio-frequency micro-needling can improve the scar, however it does not fully treat the surface epithelium (superficial layers of the skin). My recommendation would be to speak with someone in your area who is very familiar with these lasers.

Morpheus is a great option for patients wanting to give their skin a boost and to contour parts of the jawline and submental region. I have found after using M8 for 7 years, forehead scars do not improve much with M8 as a stand alone procedure. When you combine lasers, microneedling, exosomes and/or biostimulators, the result can be more profound. Forehead scars behave differently than scars in areas where there is a thicker dermis and fat layer. Hope that helps!

Depending on the severity of the scar, you may need anywhere from 2-6 treatments, but most patients notice a difference even after the first session. Morpheus is a great option for reducing the appearance of scars. We see this a lot in our practice for patients with facial scaring, some examples are scaring from chronic acne, chicken pox, accidents, surgery etc. Typically, a minimum of 3 treatments in recommended to see your best results. It works by externally resurfacing the skin while causing trauma below the tissues that stimulates collagen and elastin production.

Morpheus 8 would be an amazing treatment to help your scarring. It is a combination of radio frequency and microneedling that works by stimulating collagen production, elastin and hyaluronic acid. The short answer is that we think the combination of microneedling and radiofrequency is a great approach to scars such as this. Although nothing truly erases scars, this approach can mute and smooth the appearance of the scar.

Hmm.. I think you should into Profractional laser to help with this. I think Morpheus is amazing, but I don't know if it would help with your situation. We've had amazing improvement with tougher scars with Sciton's lasers. Best Wishes!!

Thanks for sharing your photo. It looks like your scar healed fairly well. I do see a small depression beneath it that may benefit from fillers. Also the muscle bulk in the glabellar area right next to the depression could be softened with some botulinum toxin. I think your scar looks pretty good in this photo, so unless it looks substantially different in person, I'm not sure that I would advise revising it.
