Hello, and thank you for a great question. In general, any skin tightening treatment that goes underneath the skin, such as FaceTite or ThermiTight will have better results than completely non-invasive treatments such as Ultherapy. FaceTite and ThermiTight usually require only a single treatment session and results can last up to 3-4 years. Ultherapy is usually repeated on a yearly basis. Any collagen stimulating treatment can take up to 6 months to see full results. Though the technology is important, more important is the skill and expertise of the person performing these treatments. Make sure you are under the care of an experienced physician provider to ensure optimal results and minimize risk of complications. Hope this helps answer your question.
FaceTite can internally tighten the skin in the lower face and neck. After all the skin has been heated and contracted, we shape the neck with liposuction to give definition and remove stubborn pockets of fat. In one quick treatment, we can tighten skin, remove fat, and contour the lower face, jawline, and jowls with only a weekend of downtime. Keep in mind that combination approaches will give you a more significant improvement as opposed to a single procedure. I recommend getting a consultation with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
The advantage of Ultherapy is that you will get some tightening with little or no recovery time. Usually, there is usually no need for anesthesia, local or general, although there is some pain. Anesthesia can be optional if your MD has an approved facility.FaceTite is more effective, but there can be swelling or bruising. It is especially preferable if there is fat in the neck, as liposuction can be performed with it. It usually utilizes local anesthesia and can be performed through needle puncture holes. It is our favorite minimally invasive procedure, as the satisfaction rate is quite high.
The skin tightening you can get with a single FaceTite procedure is much more effective than Ultherapy. However Facetite requires making puncture in the skin to insert the a probe and local anesthesia. Ultherapy is non invasive and often is performed 2 or more times to get the desired effect. With both treatment the full results are not visible for weeks to 6 months.
FaceTite will give you better results than Ultherapy if done appropriately. There is a slightly longer down time but most he can go back to work with a little swelling after a few days.
Thank you for your question. Ultherapy is a FDA approved, non-invasive procedure that uses ultra sound energy to lift & tighten the skin. It also improves the appearance of lines and wrinkles on the décolletage. FaceTite is a new procedure that utilizes radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis to simultaneously dissolve fat and tighten the skin. The key the use of radiofrequency energy provides controlled and gentle heat that encourages both the breakdown of fat and the production of collagen within the body. For more information, please make sure you get a in person from board-certified dermatologist.
FaceTite is a more invasive procedure performed by a physician under tumescent anesthesia. There will be swelling for up to 2 weeks and results take 4-6 months to fully appreciate. Results are quoted as being approximately 30-35% of what a neck lift would do. It is only done once. It uses RF to tighten the dermis and fibroseptal network beneath the skin. Ulthera is done by a nurse or aesthetician and uses highly focus ultrasound energy to create areas of coagulation. The body reacts by replacing these coagulation zones with collagen to lead to tightening. There is much more energy delivered with FaceTite so your results will be much better. Ulthera can be repeated. FaceTite is often performed with liposuction so fat removal is much more aggressive. There is some fat destruction with Ulthera too, but less. Sometimes this fat loss is not desired with Ulthera. I no longer do Ulthera and replaced it with Infini - a microneedling RF device. Ulthera results take 3-4 months to appreciate.
Hello and thanks for yoru questions. In my opinion (and based on literature) FaceTite is a far superior treatment as it utilizes a probe under the surface of the skin in order to tighten much deeper and completely than Ultherapy which only has a surface transducer. With these treatments you will see an immediate result and then gain more definition/tightening over the next 3-6 months as new collagen forms.Best wishes!Daniel Brown, MD, FACSBoard Certified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic SurgeonsMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeonsCastle Connolly Top DocReal Self Top 500
Facetite is much more effective then Ultherapy. Facetite is a more involved procedure compared with Ultherapy which is non-invasive. With Facetite local anesthetic is used and a number of puncture sites are required to place the probe beneath the skin. I often combine microneedling with radiofrequency ( ie: Morpheus or Embrace) in combination with Facetite procedures and am getting great results. Take care.Timothy A. Janiga MD, FACS
Your overall appearance will continue to change over time. The skin and soft tissue that has been treated with FaceTite will continue to change for 6-12 months. I typically have my patient's massage the neck area after FaceTite. It is fairly common to have contour irregularities for a pe...
After performing this procedure on a daily basis I can advise you that you will need 7 days off. Bruising may not be so marked but you will definitely have swelling. My patients always wear a facial mask for a week minimum post surgery. Especially if you are going to pair this with liposuction...
