How much bruising after FaceTite?

After performing this procedure on a daily basis I can advise you that you will need 7 days off. Bruising may not be so marked but you will definitely have swelling. My patients always wear a facial mask for a week minimum post surgery. Especially if you are going to pair this with liposuction of the jowls. This is not a weekend procedure. 

It should not cause bruising, but you may have swelling, which will gradually resolve. To speed up healing, you can try adding hyperbaric oxygen, lymphatic massage, venus legacy or exilis radiofrequency treatments. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

In my experience, patients do not normally develop much bruising after a FaceTite procedure but there normally is some significant swelling.  This swelling can last a week or so.

Bruising is rare but a possibility after Facetite. It can improve the area of the jowls. However, a few tips to minimize brusing are:1) avoid NSAID's and red wine 1 week prior to and 1 week post procedure 2) Consider Arnica before the procedureAny bruising can be concealed with makeup 2 days after the procedure.Regards,

It is always different from patient to patient. If only Facetite is done without liposuction, there can be little or no bruising. Liposuction increase bruising risks but not always. Taking arnica afterwards and avoiding all blood thinning supplement/meds prior to the procedure will lead to less and shorter duration of bruising. I use my Excel  V laser to improve bruising as well as the Healite - Low Level Laser Light Therapy. 

Thank you for your question.  In doing the jowls in a FaceTite you will have some residual bruising. That bruising with gravity will travel down your neck because of gravity pulling it.  My office typically recommends taking Arnica Montana (Vitamin K) 3 days prior to surgery and continue for at least 1 week after surgery.  This will help with the bruising.  Also most PS will tell you to discontinue any NSAIDS (Motrin, ASA, Ibuprofen etc).  Our patients also wear a facial garment to help with swelling for 5-7 days.  Please make sure to consult with a Board Certified PS.

You can expect some bruising after FaceTite, although the amount seems to vary from person to person. Using natural products like bromelain and/or arnica before and after treatment will help to prevent and minimize bruising. Using compression will also help to decrease the amount of bruising.

Facetite does not cause much bruising. Just a few days of swelling will be noticed. BUT, you should use a compression garment to support your neck for a week or so. That is what will be noticed. You could cut that time short and use compression only when not at work after the first few days. This is great technology with usually  little down time. It is not facelifting, but every patient I have treated has found improvement. It does take several months to see your final result.Good luck
