Weight gain has ruined breast surgery results. I had a breast uplift & implant at 17. Gained 35lbs my implants ruptured, got my implants replaced with smaller implants & an uplift again (260cc are my current size). Now FF breasts. I have had implant X2, X2 breast uplift & an areola reduction X3, & cut my milk ducts to correct flat nipple. Scared my skin won't cope with more surgery. Will my old scars be removed during surgery if I was to get implant removal, uplift & areola reduction? My implants are 60cc difference in size as right is smaller.
Answer: Revision surgery Dear tiffany54321, it is hard to tell for sure without an examination. My preferred lift is a lollipop lift when a periareolar won't do (ie greater than 2cm lift required). The lollipop technique was created by a Canadian plastic surgeon named Elizabeth Hall-Findley and treats the breast as a three dimensional structure instead of two dimensions (anchor - lift). Most importantly it does not require the horizontal component scars that the anchor-lift requires and breasts appear much more natural, lifted, and less boxy. Lastly, the lift lasts longer because the lollipop doesn't rely on the skin to hold the breast up, its actually breast tissue thats being brought together to support the breast and hence improves longevity. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Answer: Explant and Bellesoma Lift The technique I recommend is explantation and lift using The Bellesoma Method. The implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped creating upper pole fullness, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. Vertical scars are avoided and nipple sensation (in 95%) is maintained, if not injured during your previous surgery. At the same time, the areolas can be reduced to the size you desire. Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Will my old scars be removed during surgery if I was to get implant removal, uplift and areola reduction? (Photos) Based on your photos you would benefit from a full breast lift. A breast lift would reshape the tissue with skin tightening. The goal of the breast lift procedure is to restore a woman’s perky natural contours with minimal post-surgical marks and through using state-of-the-art techniques. The board certified plastic surgeon you select should be so skilled at breast lifts that the smallest scar will be utilized to achieve optimal shape. An in-office examination by a board certified plastic surgeon would be necessary.

Answer: Scars Your old scars will be excised and new incisions placed if you elect to have your implants removed and a breast lift performed. Scars can widen sometimes when there is too much tension on them. By removing the weight of the implants you will have less tension on the new incisions.
