The answer is yes; it takes approximately 4-6 months for dog ears to flatten over time. You are only six weeks after your arm lift, arm reduction, or brachioplasty. Your incision and scar line is still healing. Compression garments will help to flatten the scar and the dog's ear. If it is not resolved in approximately five months,, I suggest you consider surgical revision. Revisions of these areas can be performed in the office. Thanks for your question and sharing your photo. The puckering and scar will undergo a lot of change in the first 12 months after surgery and certainly in the 1st 6 months so I would not judge the quality of your final scar yet. On the other hand, looking at your photo, it seems that you might have developed some hypertrophic scars.
Of course you need to be examined by your surgeon who might decide to give you some steroid injections to improve the quality and appearance of your scars.I hope you find this explanation helpful.
