Will this puckering after lipo and arm lift eventually go? (Photo)

Thank you for your question regarding puckering after liposuction and arm lift and whether it will eventually disappear. Thank you for your pictures and history. The answer is yes; it takes approximately 4-6 months for dog ears to flatten over time. You are only six weeks after your arm lift, arm reduction, or brachioplasty. Your incision and scar line is still healing. Compression garments will help to flatten the scar and the dog's ear. If it is not resolved in approximately five months,, I suggest you consider surgical revision. Revisions of these areas can be performed in the office. Thanks for your question and sharing your photo. The puckering and scar will undergo a lot of change in the first 12 months after surgery and certainly in the 1st 6 months so I would not judge the quality of your final scar yet. On the other hand, looking at your photo, it seems that you might have developed some hypertrophic scars.
Of course you need to be examined by your surgeon who might decide to give you some steroid injections to improve the quality and appearance of your scars.I hope you find this explanation helpful.

It is very common to see some degree of puckering on the Arm Lift incisions. Massaging will help a lot to make the fibrosis softer and that will “release” the adhesions. In case they remain after 3-4 months please check with your surgeon the options.Dr. Cárdenas 

At six weeks post op you still have more healing to go. In time the swelling will resolve and the tissues will settle. In general the puckering should improve but you will need to wait a few more months for your final results. You may want to consider massage to help with swelling and to promote optimal contours.

Hello! Thank you for your question. You are only 6 weeks from surgery, and your swelling is still prominent. Until the swelling subsides completely, you shouldn't jump to any conclusions about what your final result will look like. (In other words, the puckering may subside with time.) If you still have puckering 3-6 months after surgery, you should schedule an appointment with your plastic surgeon to address your concerns. Many thanks for your query.Full wound healing takes 12months. You are still very early in the healing phase. Give it time. You could massage the arms and scars with a cream for 10min each night which will help.BestMark

You are very early in your healing phase and still have some swelling. As the swelling subsides and your inside sutures dissolve, you should see most or all of the puckering to settle down, especially by months 3.

Congratulations on your surgery! 6 weeks post-op is still very early in your healing. The puckering in your arm appears to be a result of postoperative swelling, which takes weeks to months to fully resolve. Additionally, the skin of your arm has been sewn together with sutures beneath the skin, which can also cause puckering which will improve as swelling goes down and the stitches begin to dissolve. Continue using your silicone gel and following up regularly with your plastic surgeon, and over the next few months you should see your result continue to improve.
