I’ve been getting Botox for approx 8 years, the past 2 years it hasn’t worked for me AT ALL. I’ve tried maybe 8 different doctors, they told me I’m resistant to it. I’m only 35 but I really want to get rid of/avoid lines!! I’ve spent an absolute fortune on Botox over the past 2 years, each doctor running down the last one saying they never used enough or diluted it too much. But then they couldn’t make it work either. I know I’ve had more than 1 brand used on me and none have worked.
Answer: Botox Resistance Sometimes you can become resistant to one brand of Wrinkle Relaxer. It may be worth switching over to a different product to see if you get a better result. In our clinic if we have a patient resistant to Botox we will try Dysport. Warm Regards, Dr Glenn Murray, Absolute Cosmetic Medicine

Answer: Botox The three main neurotoxins available for cosmetic use are Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin. They each work in slightly different ways. You may want to try one of these if Botox is no longer working for you. If all are found to be ineffective you can still care for your skin by using medical grade skin care products and electing treatments such as chemical peels, lasers, and microneedling to keep skin tone and texture at its best.

Answer: Botox: Ineffective Dear pearlprincess15, Thank you for your question. Some patients over the years may react less to Botox treatment. Often switching over to another neurotoxin such as Dysport or Xeomin gets them the treatment result they are seeking. I recommend you seek a consultation with an experienced injector who has experience with Botox, Dysport, and Neurotoxin who can offer you recommendations to meet your treatment goals.

Answer: I’m resistant to Botox, what can I do! Everyone has unique expressions. We move our facial muscles in a repetitive way and over time those repetitive movements cause wrinkles and fine lines. When you start to experience the signs of aging, Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin are available to diminish unwanted wrinkles and creases in your face.Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin lock the release of a chemical called acetylcholine, which triggers the muscle contractions that create wrinkles. Botox, Dysport, and Xeomin essentially paralyze the muscles and stops them from contracting. Results from these treatments are visible within 3-7 days with results that can last anywhere from 3-4 months. Being that Botox is no longer working for you, you can try the other two toxins (Dysport and Xeomin). Caring for the skin is always an option even with the toxins are not working (i.e. medical grade skin care, laser, or chemical peels. Hope this helps.
