My surgery was august 15, 2019. Liposuction of upper and lower abdominal, flanks, and upper back. I asked for a very curvy waist. I went in at 830am and got out around 1pm.
Day of:
I got light headed from being hot because they had to put a heating blanket on me while the anesthesia nurse talked to me. I was under that blanket for atleast 40 minutes. When the doctor came in to mark me I got light headed after 20 minutes and had to sit down and the anesthesia nurse had to get fluids in me before the doctor came back in to mark up the rest of my body. I think it was the combination of not eating and drinking hours before the surgery and the heat. Once I was marked up, I was given the liquid that makes you sleep. Felt like a good 40 minute nap to me.
After I was out, the nurse put me in a reclining chair and gave me Sprite, gin ale, and crackers. She said if I ate it I could get more pain medicine. I asked for more pain meds 3 times. I was in pain, pain level was like a 8 out of 10. I wanted to stay reclined in the chair, couldn't sit up because the incisions above my vagina were the worse.
I left to go to my friends house. The pain was tolerable there after I took the medication prescribed, hydrocodone. I was up walking every hour, it was the walk of a pregnant woman because of the pain and how much swelling I had, made me look pregnant. I was drinking 12oz of water every hour too.
The pain was a 6 out of 10. It hurt more when I had to try to get into bed, but once I chose my position in bed I was ok. I felt okay standing up too. I slept on my sides, 1 hour on my left side and the next hour on my right side. Sleeping on my back was more painful/sensitive.

My size before surgery: 4'11 and 134 pounds. I gained 10 pounds, the heaviest I have been. I never knew my waist size before sucking in my stomach so I can't give you an honest answer on what my pre surgery true waist size was. Doctor said he took out 3 liters of fat.
I needed to take meds every 3 to 4 hours. Getting in and out of bed was the worse of the pain. Laying in bed and walking wasnt painful though. Haven't had a bowel movement, but I have been taking stool softener pills.
I was able to walk around the neighborhood for 5-10 minutes very slowly. Haven't taken the garment off yet or showered.
It was very hard to eat a full meal. I nimbled on some fruit and grits.
Wearing a black maxi dress for the 1st two days was helpful and smart. I also bought black soft blankets and a black comforter so you couldn't see the fluid leaking on anything.

Today was the day I could take my garment off for the 1st time to shower. I was excited to be clean and feel the water on my skin and to take the garment off. I knew it would probably be painful taking the garment off though.
I waited until 11am. My pain was at 5/10 and instead of taking my pain killers every 4 hours I was now pushing it to every 6 hours.
I could bend slowly and get out of bed easier now. I was feeling better.
I wanted to try to take the garment off myself instead of getting help. Peeled at my arms first, easy. Then my stomach, kind of easy. By my vagina was the troubling part. It was swollen and always the most painful, but I got through it without too much pain. I looked good, hurt swollen, and my skin felt so weird. Felt like I removed my bones and needed to put them back because I might melt. Lol
I tried getting the shower, but was so lightheaded and felt faint. Quickly got out and sat on the floor to drink water. Called my doctor and he said it was normal.
Instructed me to remove my bandaids and leave them off. I opted for a quick bird bath instead of full shower, my friend helped bathe me. True friendship there!
After drinking more than 12oz of water on the floor and my garment dont washing, I was ready to try to put it back on. I did it by myself.
At this point I could walk around more, quicker, and more upright, I could flex the bottom of my stomach, and my back and butt werent as sensitive as yesterday. The pain is now a 4/10.
Before, I could sit upright on my butt with my back against anything. I had to be laying down on either side of myself. Now I can sit Indian style, legs crossed, with my back against a chair. Also, I drove home by myself this day. Wasnt bad.

Day 2 pics after I took the garment off the 1st time. My friend was cooing at my new curves. I pray they stay and dont get messed up. My next appointment is monday 8/19/19 . I worried the foam will make dents in my belly or that I might need a massage. Hopefully not.

Check up at the doctors office today.
My garment feels a little small already in the back area. Think I need to change to my stage 2 already which is a small. I had alot of salt yesterday so I feel and look more bloated than I did the 2nd day. I dont like that....I know I'm swollen, but you always hope the swelling will get lesser by the day not more.
I had my first bowel movement today. Thanks to the colace pills it wasnt too hard and it came fast.
My back is still very sensitive, but like I stated in previous post, once I pick my position lay in I feel ok. Sleeping is easy for me. Still hurts to initially lay and sit down.
I can sit upright more easily now. After sitting for a while it hurts to stand and walk for a few minutes, but once I'm up for a minute it hurts less and I can then straighten my body.
I can drive on my own with no problem. Started work today, chose to stand at my desk instead of sitting though.

I see a difference, I love my back, I love how my bottom pouch is gone. However, I'm disappointed that when I look straight down that I still cant see my vagina without bending. I want a very flat stomach.
I tried sucking in my stomach while my garment is in the wash and I like how I look when I suck in. However, I got the surgery so that I wouldnt have to suck in anymore. Uuugggghh. I really hope I'm just swollen beyond belief and that it will be flatter than I could ever imagine!
I'm not In much pain anymore, but still getting up is painful. Going longer without pills.
I had sex 4 days post OP. I had to be ontop and he couldn't grab my waist or sides. Went well. I have a high pain tolerance though.
Weighed myself today just out of curiosity. I started at 134lb pre op and I am now 129lb. This surgery isnt for losing weight though, it's to decrease body mass.
I'm swollen and my waist when I use to suck in my stomach at my smallest weight was 28in. Measured myself today and I'm 28in so I guess that's good. Could have been better though. Sigh.

On my check up this day, they took my stitches out and I developed a seroma (druid build up) on my lower back by my butt and the doctor had to drain it. Coolest thing I've seen done to my body lol. Didnt hurt for them to drain with a need/syringe because my skin is numb.
Still looking fat tho in the tummy lol
My diet is mainly whole foods now with a little processed food like oatmeal, 1 piece if bread, rice, and sometimes pasta. Trying to stay low sodium. No gym time yet. No pics because theres no difference from day 5.

I'm looking great and feeling great. Skin still feels like it burns when I touch it. Some pain getting out of bed still. Stopped taking pain medicine. Got another seroma in my lower back that dr drained with needle, now I have to wear this big fat back board. Yikes. Ugh.
Stomach is flatter. Pics were taken after eating 1 small pancake, half a cinnamon bun, seaweed, and 1 small sausage (all this was VEGAN).
My goal is to be able to eat and still look SUPER skinny. I always bloat too much after eating, even before liposuction.
I still like my results better when I suck my stomach in, but it's making progress.

Got curious and tried on some old bikinis today. I used to wear these when I used to model and was THIN, but stopped wearing them when I gained weight and subsequently stopped modeling because of my weight gain.
I only gained 10lbs but 10lbs on a 4'11 figure is HUGE.
I tried these on after I ate a plate of spaghetti for breakfast!!! RESULTS ARE FANTASTIC!
My goal is to still look thin after eating. I'm still swollen but it'll only get better from here.
Gonna go take a 10 mile walk today!

I developed discoloration around 14 days after my lipo. Doctor says it should be gone within 3 months. Its ugly and makes me hide my stomach, but it is slowly disappearing In patches. You can see it in my pics posted with this update.
I haven't gotten ANY lymphatic massages. I have some dimpling in my skin that is getting better.
Stio of my stomach is starting to feel normal. Swolleness is going away very slowly. Still hard on my back, sides, and lower stomach, but hopefully that means I'll get skinnier when it's all gone.
I like my results. But I psych myself out when I get super close to mirrors because I look bigger, but I think things just appear bigger in mirrors because when i take 2 steps back I love my results.
I do still want more fat gone in my stomach because I still suck in my stomach in dresses and bikinis, but as much as before just a light suck in, but I want to never have to suck in. When I sit down I no longer have a fat roll spilling over my bikini like before. HALLELUJAH!

I like my results, but I still look big after I eat. I want more done, but for the most part i am happy. Skin still feels weird, i still like to wear my garment cause I can her uncomfortable at night.
