I had Botox into the Glabellar and minimal to the forehead and 2 units to the crows feet areas. I am 5 days post procedure and my right eye is pooling fluid at the under part of the eyebrow and at the lid. How many days will this swelling or pooling last and what can I do to speed the process? I am currently on a medrol dosepak for the swelling. When the Botox kicks in fully at 7 days, will the swelling dissipate as well?

Answer: Fluid retention after botox If you are prone to fluid retention then botox can accentuate this. Movement is necessary to remove excess fluid from the tissues so stopping that movement can allow fluid to build up. You may find that within a few days the fluid starts to shift. If not, then ideally see a practitioner of Manual Lymph Drainage according to the Vodder method. She will be able to reduce any fluid by gentle massage. Otherwise, using clean hands, very gently brush the area with your finger tips - soft as the wings of a bird - to stimulate lymphatic drainage.

Answer: Hmm unsure what this pooling could be- you may have drooping of the muscles surrounding the eye- I would make a follow up with your provider for further advice
