Lately I am very bothered by my profile. I feel it is masculine. My nose is wide and seems to be set back deep at the top. I have a heavy brow ridge that highlights the angle of my nose. Will a rhinoplasty alone help at all, or am I likely to need brow bone reduction as well? Is this normal in natural born women? I never see other women with a nose/brow like mine. Everything I see online about brow ridge reduction or nose like this it's regarding men or transgender women.
Answer: Closed and Atraumatic Technique in Rhinoplasty Hello,Thank you for your question. Based on your photos your nose can be straightened, the tip refined and your low radix augmented by the technique developed by me. By inserting a bone chip or cartilage between the ethmoid and dorsal roof allows the radix to move up, and the hump of the dorsum is lowered and gets stabilized in the septum. You can utilise my own techniques for detailed information. The Dorsal Roof Technique protects the dorsal anatomy but fixes the deformity and moreover, supports your dorsum by using the excessive tissue instead of excision. The ST FLAP TECHNIQUE protects the anatomy, supports the weak parts and reshapes the tip. A beautiful and natural looking nose, that suits your face can be achieved by the help of the Closed and Atraumatic Rhinoplasty, which minimizes swelling and bruises, maximizes healing, prevents tissue damage and eliminates a scar on the columella. Answer: Raising the radix may help create a more feminine appearance Hi Cb79, After examining the images you uploaded, it seems like the base of your nose, also known as the radix, creates an unbalanced profile look. Currently, the angle between your nose and forehead is too deep and may be augmented with a graft through rhinoplasty. Additionally, your brows are too low, something that can be rectified with a brow lift. There are many different techniques that can be used to help you achieve your desired look, so the best course of action is to consult with a double board-certified facial plastic surgeon in your area and explore the different alternatives available. Best of luck Dr. Sam RizkI would also add that the angle between her nose and forehead is too deep and may be augmented with a graft through rhinoplasty. Her brows are too low as well and she may also benefit from a brow lift

Answer: Nonsurgical Rhinoplasty A “liquid” or non-surgical rhinoplasty involves injecting an appropriate filler into either the bridge or tip of the nose to create either a smoother bridge or a raised or more prominent tip. Not every patient is a candidate for this technique and in general, it is used more for augmenting the nose than reducing the nose. Please take caution with filler injections into the nose if you have had prior surgery as this increases the risk of complications. In your situation, a filler could potentially create a more smooth transition from the brow to the bridge of your nose. Gary Linkov, MD Rhinoplasty Specialist Manhattan

Answer: Deep radix and possible non-surgical rhinoplasty option. From the photos it looks like the primary issue is that of a very deep radix (deep nasofrontal angle). I don't think altering the brow directly would be a good idea.A simple non-surgical option would be to consider building up the deep radix with an in-office injectable filler. I usually start with a temporary filler like Juvederm so the patient can get an idea of how it will look before committing to something permanent. For a more permanent result, Bellafill can be injected if the patient liked the Juvederm results. If narrowing the nose is also a concern, though, then a surgical rhinoplasty would be the proper way to go and it can also address the deep radix. All the best,--DCPPearson Facial Plastic Surgery®

Answer: Deep radix I think the most helpful thing would be for you to have a consultation with a surgeon who can perform image manipulation for you. This way you can decide whether the changes you have thought about will meet your expectations. You might consider building up the radix area at the top of your nose to soften and balance your profile. The depth of the eyes will influence how the nose looks and this is something that cannot be changed. I would not advise lowering your bridge as this may make the tip look too projected. I think you should only consider small changes. Good luck.
