How soon can I get lip filler removed? (Photos)

It's common to be surprised by your appearance immediately after your fillers. After one day you will still be experiencing swelling. I would advise to wait at least one week to determine whether you like the result or not before having it dissolved and wasting your money. You might feel like your injector has injected too much of the product into the top lip at the moment, but most of this volume will be due to swelling which will subside.

Since you just had the juvederm injected one day ago you are still experiencing post procedural swelling.  This swelling should go down over the next week.  If after this time, you are still unhappy with your appearance you should return to your doctor to discuss your concerns.

Hyaluronidase, an enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid preparations, can be used almost immediately after injection. I would give it another few days, however, as you have some swelling from the injection

Hi Adrian, the reversal can be done immediately after the procedure.  The reason we do not typically recommend that is that swelling can play a major factor in how you will feel about your injections and you are only 1 day post injection.  If you insist on having the reversal immediately, contact a local Vitrase (Hyaluronidase) expert.  To see a reversal for a patient that was recently in our Orange, CA office, click on the link below.  

It's too early for your final results. Final results with lip augmentation take 1-2 weeks as swelling resolves. If you're unhappy with your final results, it can be reversed with hyaluronidase and you can try a different technique next time. Best, Dr. Emer 

Well, it takes a while for your body to get rid of the swelling. I suggest you wait 2 weeks. At that point you will know if you like your lip injections. It's extremely common to feel this way, but I can tell you that I have so many patients that love lip injections. Hang in there and see your injector at two weeks. Dear adrianaram:Lip swelling after filling is no uncommon and normally subsides within 2 weeks.  Follow up with your injector then and discuss meeting of treatment goals.  All the best.

While Hyaluronidase, which is an enzyme that is frequently used to breaks down undesirable hyaluronic acid procedure, can be used almost immediately after injection. You should generally allow a couple of weeks to go by before assessing the final results of a filler treatment. Restylane Silk is also generally a more desirable product for lips than juvederm as it will provide a more natural appearance.
