My implant was 590C cc on the muscle high profile. I have went to my doctor several times. They checked for capsule contracture and sent on my way. I am not able to work out or it cramps more. Is this normal?
Answer: Is it normal to have muscle cramping in the breast a month and a 1/2 after augmentation? The cramping you describe is not uncommon when larger implants are placed under the muscle. The muscles have been forcefully stretched by the implants and your current condition is very similar to having "pulled muscles." When muscles have been injured, they will react with cramps and spasms when they are stressed. It can take months for complete healing. It appears that the presence of capsular contractures have been ruled out by your surgeon. Be cautious regarding your exercise activity levels and you can expect gradual improvement and tolerance.

Answer: Muscle Cramping Post Op Hello, and thank you for your question. It sounds like your breasts are still healing. Often times exercise can aggravate the muscle. Visit your original surgeon if anything changes, but you may want to be cautious about the types of workouts you are doing 1.5 months post op. Best,

Answer: Cramping after breast augmentation The symptoms you describing could be either normal process of healing (some patients take longer than others, especially if they go with excessively large implants), excessive cramping for other issues (massaging may help and/ or muscle relaxants) or symptoms of capsular contracture (as you are in the window now of when most cases of capsular contracture). If your breasts are also hard and becoming distorted in shape (and rising higher) then I would be more concerned. Acute capsular contracture can sometimes be treated successfully non- surgically with Singulair if started quickly with onset of symptoms. I would recommend you follow up with your surgeon closely and continue to raise your concerns. Best wishes.

Answer: Implants over the muscle are not anticipated to cause cramping of the underlying muscles. You should see your surgeon or your primary care doctor for an assessment and review of your history. Please think about when this happens, what you may be doing at that time, and what makes it go away to help your doctor figure out what may be happening. Also you can take a multivitamin regularly to minimize the impact nutritional imbalances may have on your symptoms.
