You should never undergo rhinoplasty while pregnant. However, if your surgery was done a while ago, giving birth naturally should have no affect on your past rhinoplasty.
Hello and thank you for your question. It is firmly forbidden to do undergo a plastic surgery during your pregnancy because anesthesia and surgical procedures can have a very negative effect on the developing embrio. Normally having had a rhinoplasty in the past doesn't mean you are unable of giving birth naturally. What you might have heard is related to ht fact of giving birth very soon after a nose job, before your healing process has completed. That world cause bleeding and possibly harm your well-being. In your case you are totally able of giving birth naturally.Hope you find this information helpful.Best of luck.Ozge Egun M.D Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon
Having had a rhinoplasty in the past should not influence what type of delivery you have for child birth. It would be fine to have a natural birth delivery after having had a rhinoplasty.
There is no contraindication to having natural child birth after having a rhinoplasty. Cosmetic surgery should not be performed during your pregnancy, but otherwise it is ok.
I don't believe you are asking if you can have plastic surgery during your pregnancy yes? If the question is asking if you can have a natural birth any time after a rhinoplasty then the answer is yes. Your nose will swell during pregnancy without a doubt - this is true for operated on and non-operated on noses. There is absolutely no contraindication to giving birth naturally after rhinoplasty. I see you're in California. If that were the case, then I imagine 80% of babies born in California would be born via c-section!
Dear Adoorina, Having rhinoplasty surgery should not have any effect on your options of childbirth. Speak with your OB and let him/her know your past surgical history and discuss any concerns you may have with them. Best regards, Michael V. Elam, M.D.
Having Rhinoplasty surgery should not affect your natural childbirth. Make your OBGYN aware of your medical and surgical history.

There are many risks that are associated with rhinoplasty but cancer is not one of them. We consider infections to be highly dangerous. They are rare but sometimes life-threatening (toxic-shock-syndrome). Nowhere near cancer though. Hope this helps! Best, S.Emre, MD
