Does getting a Tummy Tuck lift the skin on the front of the thighs and the pubic area?

I am wondering, when getting a full tummy tuck, if the skin on the lower abdomen gets lifted as well, resultung in a slight lift in the skin on front of the thighs and pubic area.

Although a tummy tuck will often improve the pubic region and to a lesser degree the upper thighs. Often a pubis lift done at the same time is required for the best result. The recovery period will not change in most cases. Always pick a board certified plastic surgeon for safety and best results.

Thank you for your question!!  The tummy tuck will definitely affect the pubic region and lift this area.  In a number of patients, the superior inner thigh skin can also be tightened as a result of just the tummy tuck.  The amount of tightening to the pubic region can be dramatic, less so for the inner thighs, but still improvement can be noted.  Hope this helps!!

A full tummy tuck definitely will lift and tighten the skin of the lower abdomen as well as the upper abdomen. Additionally, you can expect that your pubic area, called the "mons," will be much tighter as well and will have a flatter appearance. The anterior (front) portion of your thighs will also be lifted as well. Done the right way a tummytuck also lifts the pubic area as well as tightening the abdomen. It also depends on the elasticity of your skin as to the right area to put the incision.

There is some secondary lifting of the thighs and mons area with a tummy tuck. Different modifications can lead to more lifting such as the high lateral tension technique. The answer to your question is yes during a tummy tuck the pubic area or mons pubis is often lifted as well.
