I consider it to be one area but does it really matter? Are you asking because you're being charged for 2 areas separately? I don't think the number assigned to the abdomen matters. The cost is the cost for the entire abdomen. Best,
Liposuction of the abdomen does not always mean liposuction of the upper and lower abdomen. Nor does it always include liposuction of the waist. You need to ask your surgeon what he means by liposuction of the abdomen and he needs to consider what areas will benefit from liposuciotn. For example, there are many thin women who have a little excess fat in their lower abdomen. This is often seen after a lower tummy incision say for a C-section. These women only need liposuciton on the lower tummy since their waist and upper tummy are thin already. I charge only $1750 for liposuciton with tumescent anesthesia of the lower tummy. Very rarely, women will have only excess fat in their upper tummy. I have such a woman who is scheduled for surgery. She does not want liposuciton anywhere else. However, most women will benefit from liposuction of the entire tummy as well as the waist. This is what I do most often, and the total cost is $2500 with tumescent anesthesia. I do not do hundreds of liposuctions a year, and I get great results. I think you will be needlessly excluding most competent gifted plastic surgeons if you limit your choice to a surgeon who does hundreds of liposuctions a year.
