I think I've read less than 30? Does this vary depending on how your weight is distributed? For instance, My BMI is almost 31 right now (5'6", 190), but I'm just big around my middle. I have quite a bit of lower abdomen fat (and waist), but very few stretch marks. When I weigh less I'm unhappy with my legs, breast and face (they look better at this weight). I am almost 60, very healthy and active (exercise 4x weekly, aerobic and weight training). Camera broke, no pic.
Answer: Is there an ideal BMI for Brazilian Butt Lift? No, there is not an ideal BMI. This will depend upon where your fat is distributed and your goals for redistribution. Find a BBL expert who performs hundreds of BBLs each year and has great reviews and great before and after pictures.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA

Answer: Brazilian Butt Lift A good candidate has enough fat available for transfer in the procedure. The amount of fat that can be transferred in a BBL depends on how much fat the patient has to harvest and the amount of space there is to move the fat into. It is recommended for the patient to have a BMI of 30 or less. If you are too thin, a Brazilian Butt Lift may not be possible.

Answer: Ideal weight for BBL You can't necessarily correlate BMI with an ideal fat transfer patient weight. BMI only looks at height and weight. What's more important is the available fat for the surgery. This can only really be evaluated during a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. I would say you are slightly overweight , but close, to being a good candidate for this procedure. But an in person exam is the only true way to know for sure.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno

Answer: Is there an ideal BMI for Brazilian Butt Lift? Hello dear! Thanks for the question and provided information as well. In general, you need to be physically healthy and at a stable weight, have realistic expectations, be a non-smoker and your BMI needs to be 30 or less. l recommend you to make an appointment with a board certified plastic surgeon to talk about your goals and anything you need to know. Good luck :)

Answer: BMI and BBL What you say is very important: you need to feel good with your weight first of all, the rest is relatively easy. BMI would not determine if a patient is a good candidate for BBL, it depends mostly in where the fat is located and if the technique used is the right one to keep the fat cells safe in order for them to be grafted. Keep up the goodwork researching for an outstanding BBL expert and good luck with your Plastic Surgery Journey!
