Is it possible to get a Brazilian Butt Lift without general anesthesia?

Question

I would love to get a BBL but the thought of going under general anaesthesia make me hesitate a lot. Specially after reading that there are more risk under general than local anaesthesia. Any suggestion?? I am so not doing it if I am sleeping :D

I prefer IV Sedation over General in most cases, including multiple procedure makeovers. The use of IV Sedation offers several advantages including less nausea, quicker recovery immediately following surgery, and a reduced risk of pulmonary embolism.Be sure your board certified plastic surgeon woks with anesthesiologists who are also board certified.Best wishes!

You can try that but the buttock transfer will be painful.  You would need at least some sedation.  Find
 a BBL expert who
 performs hundreds of BBLs each year and has great reviews and great

Certainly yes ! On our daily practice, BBL is performed under Iv sedation and epidural anesthesia. Very rarely general anesthesia is used  for this procedure If you want to be completely awake, the procedure can be performed only with epidural and no sedation. Epidural anesthesia blocks the nerves of  the region where liposuction is performed, but dos not put you to sleep or connects you to a machine ( like general anesthesia ) Best wishes

You could technically have a BBL done under IV sedation in the office setting if the volume of liposuction was less than 5000mL of aspirate (including tumescent). High volume liposuction more than 4000-5000mL required an overnight stay. The problem with IV sedation is that it is dangerous to place the patient in a prone position (face down on the table), and this is the preferred positioning for the fat injection into the buttocks.
