I have a dimple in the center of my bottom lip, I really like it. Are fillers going to change that? I want it to stay. (photo)

Thank you for your question and pictures. You're probably not going to see much of a difference with 0.55cc of Volbella as it is a very light filler and provides only subtle enhancements. It works much better for lip shaping than volumization. An experienced injector will know where and how much filler to give to balance out your upper/lower lip ratio while preserving the dimple in your bottom lip that you like. If you want more of a result you will need more filler or I would recommend a more volumizing filler such as Juvederm Ultra XC. Hope this helps!

Great question, Nice1292! Your injector does not need to fill the dimple in your lower lip if you do not want. Volbella will give a very nice, subtle plump to the lips. Be sure to discuss with your injector that you are looking to focus in your upper lip and that you wish to avoid your dimple. Good luck!

Volbella is a great filler for fine lines around the mouth and to help the lips appear more hydrating. In my experience, it does not add very much volume after the filler settles in place. Your injector will discuss outcome expectations at your consult. 

Thank you for your question and for your photos. You will most likely not see a difference with only half a syringe of Volbella. I would recommend Juvederm which will provide you with a more volumized result. Be sure to discuss your concerns with your provider.

An experienced injector should be able to add volume to the areas you want whilst maintaining the shape of your natural lips. I would recommend thoroughly researching the clinic and practitioner you plan to have treatment with and using the consultation as an opportunity to ask questions and discuss your concerns.

Thank you for sharing your question and photograph.  Volbella is a thin product and can be added to lips to help smooth wrinkles and add conservative volume.  If you like the dimple in your lower lip, it need not be injected.  Hope this helps.

I typically use Juvederm for my lip sculpting. There are two main focuses of lip injections, adding volume and actually sculpting the shape. Both involve injecting the filler in different areas of the lips and patterns.
I would recommend finding a plastic surgeon to perform you lip injections. Most of my patients have results that last at least 6 months.

Lip fillers can plump the lips while still making it natural. It really depends on the patient's goals. Please contact a qualified provider or a board-certified physician with extensive experience in these procedures.

Communication is key. Filler could be placed to either accentuate or smooth away your dimple. Be sure that your injector takes time to understand your aesthetic goals prior to treatment. In my practice, I schedule time for both filler consultation and filler treatment which allows me to have an in-depth discussion about the treatment plan with my patients prior to injection.
That being said, Volbella is a very soft filler that gives your lips a more "hydrated" look but does not create a lot of structure. You likely have nothing to worry about!
