Was my bridge over resected? (Photo)

Question

I had open rhinoplasty 17 months ago and I don’t like how bulbous and short my tip looks. I also believe that my bone was over resected. As soon as I had the cast removed, I noticed that the bone looked way more narrow compared to the lower third of my nose. I used to have a thinner tip and now it looks bulbous. Also, the right side of my nose on the picture, looks crooked because there is what feels and looks like a bump. I wish my nose was taller and the tip slightly more projected.

Hello, hope you are well. It appears you had a dorsal reduction which lowered your bridge modestly. I would not suggest that your bridge was 'over-resected' or that there are any other overt deformities based on these photos, but that doesn't mean that the result did not match your expectations. (Sometimes an in-person exam and standard photodocumentation is more revealing). Your tip has been rotated and there is a little supratip fullness. If you haven't already, I would suggest discussing your concerns with your surgeon and having an open conversation about the potential risks/benefits of further intervention on the nose.

You and your before and after photos, I feel you have a good result following rhinoplasty surgery. If you feel that your profile is to curved, depending on your examination, microdroplet Silikon-1000 injections maybe considered for permanently raising your bridge for less of a curved appearance. The two indentations that you point to on front view may be filled as well. It may be best to avoid further surgery. I hope this helps! Sincerely, Dr Joseph

Hello! Thank you for your question. As far as I can see from your question your nose bridge seems over curved and ou have hanging columella. This things creates a bulbous look. For get rid of this image and gain more elegant, natural looking nose I recommend you revision rhinoplasty surgery. Best Regards!
