Can fat grafting to breasts cause regeneration of nerve endings to regain sensation after previous surgical breast procedure?

I had mastopexy in 2015, my left breast had dehiscence at invented T, took 4 months to granulate in and close, and,amazingly,healed well enough that I decided it did not require a revision. However, I had a numb left nipple and part of left breast. 6 wks ago I had 300 ml fat grafting to both breasts for upper pole fullness--- and now I'm having sensation returning to the left nipple. I'm thrilled, I haven't seen this mentioned. Am Is there some science behind this?

hello canag54   Regeneration of the sensory nerves is accompanied by tingling, burning, or shooting pains which disappear with time and are nothing to be alarmed about. If, however, swelling, redness, infection, or drainage accompanies this, then you will need to see the doctor at the office.
