10 days post-op: recovery or is it an infection? If it's recovery how long will it take the redness to fade? (photos)

Hi I had fat transfer from my love handles to my breasts about 10 days ago, I have very red patches, which feel hard. I contacted my surgeon asking if I have an infection, but I don't have a fever so he said it's just part of the recovery. It's been 4 days of redness and it's still not fading.

Hello, thank you for your question. I would recommend that you have a current normal mammogram prior to any fat injections. Heading fibrocystic disease is not usually a problem for this procedure. Seek out a  qualified board certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss all of your options ...

Depending on the amount of harvestable fat, you can get 1-2 cups of an increase in size.  We have seen a retention percentage of 50-90% but is definitely varies from patient-to patient.
