Wanting Breast Lift + Aug. Do I really need 2 surgeries 12 months apart?

You are a good candidate for breast augmentation and lift at the same time. There is no need to separate the procedure into two unless there is something in your medical history or desired goal that would preclude a single procedure. Consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to review your options. Implants do no lifting and only give volume and size. A breast lift is needed when the nipple and areola are at a level beneath the crease or fold under your breast.This appears to be the case in the picture you posted.  Ask your surgeon if they use the published I.D.E.A.L breast lift approach. With this approach the implant is placed first; then all stretched tissues are stapled together. This lets the surgeon see the final result in one step BEFORE any incisions are made. This technique safely removes the maximum amount of extra skin, giving the maximum lift. I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I do this with my patients, we then look at pictures of women with similar measurements. My patients tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what is right for them.

Dear AnnabellexoThank you for your questions and photos!  There are different approaches to breast lifting and augmentation. Some surgeons do the surgery in 2 stages , others in one stage. When the breast tissue is soft - and stretchy , the predictability of long term result is more difficult.With Warm RegardsTrevor M Born MD

Your question is excellent. A lift  with implants can be either one or two stages. if the nipples need to be moved more than three inches I prefer  two stages, otherwise it should be able to get done in one stage. I do it both ways. From your pictures it should be able to be done in one stage and for less money. Get other opinions.

I routinely do these two procedures together. I think you would be a good candidate to have them done at one time. I would get more consultations and then decide what to do. Good luck.
