Hi. I was about to book in with CosMediTour Australia for a breast lift and augmentation. I had my first consultation today via phone.. it was not a surgeon just a client manager. she quoted me $23,000+ AUD for a lift and implants due to my complex case, I have sagging from pregnancy etc. She said In her opinion I would need 2 seperate surgeries, she has not consulted surgeon. I'm planning to get a few different opinions from actual surgeons. Do I really need 2 seperate surgeries?

Answer: Not complex: Augmentation/Lift can be done at the same time for much less than was quoted Implants do no lifting and only give volume and size. A breast lift is needed when the nipple and areola are at a level beneath the crease or fold under your breast.This appears to be the case in the picture you posted. Ask your surgeon if they use the published I.D.E.A.L breast lift approach. With this approach the implant is placed first; then all stretched tissues are stapled together. This lets the surgeon see the final result in one step BEFORE any incisions are made. This technique safely removes the maximum amount of extra skin, giving the maximum lift. I recommend an in person consultation with a plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and be measured. After I do this with my patients, we then look at pictures of women with similar measurements. My patients tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what is right for them.

A lift with implants can be either one or two stages. if the nipples need to be moved more than three inches I prefer two stages, otherwise it should be able to get done in one stage. I do it both ways. From your pictures it should be able to be done in one stage and for less money. Get other opinions.
