To accurately answer this question would require an in office consultation and examination. If you browse websites and look at patients with 425 cc implants you will notice that the outcome in different patients can be a wide variety of sizes. There is far more to determining the result of breast augmentation then simply the number of cc's in the implants.
Hello, thank you for your question. A board certified plastic surgeon will be able to guide you to the correct size of implants. Measurements of the chest wall and breast imprint width as well as knowledge of all breast implant sizes and profiles should make this process easy. Try on a profile bra with various saline and silicone cc sizers your PS recommends under a tailored blouse, tank top, bikini, workout clothes, and other garments you typically wear so that you have the best idea of whether the garments fit as desired with the implant selected. Schedule an email, Skype or in-person consultation for proper evaluation.
I recommend an in person evaluation by a plastic surgeon to be measured and discuss your goals. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of former patients with similar measurements with different size and style breast implants. My patients tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size breast implant is right for them. Hello and thank you for the question. An in-person consultation is needed to give you a more definitive advice. You seem to be a good candidate for breast augmentation. Many factors including patient's desired breast size, skin envelope (both quality and quantity) and breast width diameter among others are important in selecting the implant size. In a typical consultation, you try a variety of in-bra sizers and in combination with several other measurements that your surgeon will do, the final implant volume is selected. Use of 'goal pictures' is also an effective way to communicate your goals with your plastic surgeon. My best advice is that you communicate your goals and aesthetic ideals with your surgeon as clearly as possible and trust your surgeon's skills and abilities to deliver what you are looking for.Best wishes and good luck, Pejman Aflaki, M.D. Johns Hopkins-trained double board-certified plastic surgeon
Thank you for your question! Implant sizing is very different based on the individual. While you must take amount of cc's into consideration, you must also measure the size of the chest wall. 425cc implants may look natural on you but look very large for someone with a smaller frame. At my office, I use Vectra 3D imaging to "try out" various implant sizes on your body. This gives us a pretty accurate simulation of what results we can expect. I would consult with a board certified plastic surgeon and take advantage of the awesome technology that is Vectra 3D imaging. Good luck!
At 36 C, each 200 cc of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change. You will go up 2 cup sizes to a DD. From your photograph, your breasts are low on the chest wall. If you want higher perkier breasts, I recommend a simultaneous modified Benelli lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, small implants or fat transfers can be performed. Implants are not lifetime devices. 8% fail within the first year and 30% fail within six years. Fat transfers are permanent and incorporated into the body.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.
Hello and thank you for your question. You are a great candidate for a breast augmentation using a dual plane technique without need for a formal lift. The size, profile, and shape of the implant is based on your desired breast size/shape, your chest wall measurements, and soft tissue quality. This decision should be based on a detailed discussion with equal input from both you and your surgeon. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. FACS Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
The best way to tell how you will look with a given implant size is by doing in office sizing using dedicated sizers and bra. In addition, your appearance suggests the need for a breast lift.
Thanks for your question and pic.I routinely perform a 3-d simulation to taking the guessing game out of choosing your implant size. Every patient gets a simulation using their picture and we can clearly see what different sizes look like on your frame. This really helps avoid sizing mistakes. I highly recommend that you have this done prior to your surgery.
Dear Easygoing234167,breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Your breasts are sagging now and will still sag unless a lift is done. Please do not choose implants that are too large and heavy for your frame, or you will just sag more and thin your own tissue.
As you noticed, your nipples are in good position, but your own breast tissue is sagging. Yes, an incision can be done underneath to help tuck the breast and remove excess skin. However, the breast may look somewhat flat. I would suggest the regular incisions for the lift for the best results.
You don't need a breast lift to elevate the nipple and areola, but there is excess breast tissue from the nipple to the breast crease. An implant weight will likely cause premature sagging of your breast tissues, not necessarily the nipple and areola - which is more common. You should see a ...
