I feel that my bone structure is very asymmetrical. Also my left eye is a lot larger than my right (It feels like it is protruding out a little further. Everyone tells me all the time that I always look tired. My nose sways to the right. I look like a different person on my left and right side. included a photo of wearing makeup -- which I actually genuinely think I look pretty.. I hope someone can help me with my concerns, and recommend the right treatments for me, as I am an very unhappy:(
Answer: Variation of normal You do not have significant asymmetry that would warrant a major surgical intervention. My advice to you at this point, is not to do any surgery. Slight fat grafting or filler to the right cheek may improve some minor facial asymmetry and perceived hollowness of the right compared to left. These sorts of minor differences are very normal

Answer: Rhinoplasty for crooked nose and dorsal hump removal Facial asymmetries are very common, and everyone has some degree of facial asymmetry. A crooked and asymmetric nose can be adjusted with a rhinoplasty procedure. To straighten the crooked nose requires osteotomies to realign the nasal bones, sometimes a cartilaginous spreader graft placed on the concave side, and shaving down the dorsal hump which is composed of both bone and cartilage on either one or both sides of the bridge line.

Answer: Unhappy with face Dear leahmackenzie, Thank you for your clinical post and photographs. First and foremost first impression on your nasofacial views and proportions that you have some very pretty features and a strong craniofacial structures upon which to improve slightly upon some of the aesthetic concerns you have. There are a number of subtle facial asymmetries that you perceive and, in fact, all human faces have some degree of asymmetry. No two ears, eyes, hands, breasts or feet are the same and we strive to achieve facial aesthetic balance and proportion through the least invasive techniques possible to give the most natural appearing aesthetic outcome and enhancement. Generally for tired eyes, big eyes sunken socket with inadequately supported under eyes can be corrected most simply with soft tissue fillers using a micro-cannula in the under eye region. In fact, soft tissue fillers even either your own fat or products such as Juvéderm Voluma and Restylane can be injected to soften some of the more masculine craniofacial features and provide a more rested feminine look. More permanent bony structural changes can be performed, however, it is often wise to undergo computer imaging with a plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeon with a lot of facial aesthetic enhancement experience and at your young age to perform soft tissue fillers first to see if these changes agree with your sense of aesthetic improvement. A global facial assessment with a busy plastic surgeon with both non-surgical and surgical techniques to offer is probably a wise place for you to start. I am trained in both plastic surgery and ear, nose, throat, head and neck oncology and have been performing cosmetic facial plastic surgery and rhinoplasty surgery and soft tissue injections for over 20 years. Realistic expectations without being over critical and starting with simple techniques that allow you to assess the aesthetic outcome is usually the wisest place to start. I hope this information has been of some assistance and best of luck. For more information, please review the link below. R. Stephen Mulholland, M.D. Certified Plastic Surgeon Yorkville, Toronto

Answer: Facial asymmetry and crooked nose Hello,Please let me start by saying that you should feel pretty all the time! You are an attractive young lady and you do not need "work" done to correct things. Facial asymmetries are the rule as opposed to the exception, the majority of people have irregularities and differences between one side of the face and the other. If your nose bothers you, you can opt to undergo a rhinoplasty in order to straighten it and modify its shape. I would advised to leave all else alone. Best wishes.Dr. A. Gantous
