In my practice the patients have a choice to stay overnight and there is a nurse on call 24\7. It seems that patients are much more at ease and they don't have to endure a bumpy ride home after surgery. If you are feeling to anxious then you should discuss this with your surgeon. As it seems reasonable. Best of luck
All of our patients go home the day of surgery. If you want to stay somewhere, you may want to ask your surgeon if this kind of service in your city is available. There are some post surgery stay facilities in certain cities, perhaps Toronto has this. An alternative is to hire a nurse to stay with you overnight. Best of luck with your surgery!
I agree with other surgeons that an overnight stay is not generally necessary, but you are not alone in being anxious about how you will do. Explain your fears to your surgeon, and if you are not reassured about going home post-op, you should request an overnight stay.
You can see if there is a facility in your area that offers "aftercare" for cosmetic patients if you are concerned about your recovery. Also you may inquire if there are any private duty nurses that can spend the evening with you. Good Luck
Yes, it is. Best to discuss your options with your plastic surgeon. There is an additional charge for overnight stay.
It is possible to stay overnight.. You have to set that up with your plastic surgeon so the arrangements can be made
Thank you for your question.Yes, in my practice, it is possible to stay overnight after having a breast augmentation. However, instead of the procedure being performed out our in-office outpatient surgery center, I would perform the procedure at one of the eight local hospitals in Palm Beach County, Florida. There would be an additional charge for the hospital stay but is usually a reasonable fee. I hope this helps. Best wishes!William J. Vinyard, MDBoard Certified Plastic SurgeonPalm Beach, Florida
Breastaugmentation is almost always done as an outpatient procedure. The costs of staying overnight in a hospitaltype facility are essentially prohibitive. Breast augmentation is very safe and there are very minimal complicationspostop. However, most cities have anursing team that you can hire who can pick you up from surgery and stay thenight with you if you so desire.
breast augmentation is an outpatient procedure as long as you are healthy. you can always request an overnight stay. please speak with your plastic surgeon
It is absolutely possible to stay under the care of your physician overnight following breast augmentation. Many practices have arranged specific cosmetic pricing with your hospital to facilitate this. Usually, the added fee is minimal. If you are concerned, it would be worth the money. In all, those who are educated about their procedure and comfortable with the care, have the best results.
Though there still is a chance the implants can further drop filling out the lower pole with the use of the strap and some good breast massage, significant changes may be unlikely at this point as the fibrous capsules forming around your breast are pretty stable at this point. However, it is...
The answer to this question is difficult to determine, given the unknowns. An in person consultation is required to provide an accurate assessment. It is most beneficial to discuss this with the surgeon who will be performing your surgery. All the best,
It's not unusual to feel sore as you start using the pectoralis muscles after breast augmentation surgery. It's important to remember that when implants are placed under the muscle, there is trauma to that tissue which needs time to adequately heal. I recommend not...
If you are anxious it is perfectly fine to take. We offer it to our patients who feel overly anxious before the surgery or have difficulty sleeping.
At size 34 each 100 cc’s of implant corresponds to 1 cup size change.400 cc implants would take you up 4 cup sizes to a size G.It is unlikely that 410 cc implants will fit retro-pectoral, will extrude inferiorly and laterally requiring revision.I always recommend small round textured silicone g...
I generally don't recommend ice for breast patients as the implant is so far from the skin surface it does little good nor is it helpful after the point of maximum swelling, after the first 3 days.Discuss this with your surgeon and follow his directions!#iceaftersurgery#breastaugmentation#BA
