Is it possible to remove fat graft under eyes?

Question

It's been a year since I had fat repositioning + fat graft under my eyes...I really wish I had just had fillers instead of surgery. I think I was overfilled. At rest I look better, but when I make any expression my eye bags are asymmetrical and very puffy. Before I had hollow under eyes but at least they looked natural. Now I look even older and more tired. Is there any way to fix this? Can the fat be removed?

Fat grafting is very difficult to correct. Improvement may be possible. It requires examination in consultation.

The area under the eyes can have very thin skin that is unforgiving, and in the setting of the sometimes unpredictable results of fat grafting in terms of retention, this can lead to a patient such as yourself being unsatisfied with the final results. This can be remedied - you can either have surgery to remove it (such as a lower lid blepharoplasty or alternatively direct excision of the areas of fullness) vs injection of a very mild steroid to try and atrophy the fat down in size.
