Fat transfer under eyes while on testosterone

Question

Fat grafting basically transferring fat from ur belly to under your eyes as you may have lost collagen there. Some fat after the transfer gets disollved into the body. I am interested in doing this. I am also on testosterone replacement therapy. Do you think fat transfer would be pointless when on Testosterone as it is also a fat burner?

Thank you for your question. It would be completely fine to have fat transfer while on testosterone. It should not affect the outcome. However, fat grafting in the eye area can be very tricky and I would make sure you consult with a plastic surgeon who is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.Best of luck!

Yes, you can have fat transfer to this area while on testosterone. Keep in mind, fat transfer technique is important for successful fat transfer. I recommend water-assisted fat harvesting which gives pure fat to transfer and combine with platelet rich plasma (PRP) to get the most viable and sustainable fat cells. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an expert. Bioidentical Hormone Replacement would be no deterrent to fat transfer. Because such therapy improves metabolism there is the possibility the it may help the process.
