I'm 28 and have had chubby lower cheeks my whole life. I had the buccal fat pads removed a few years ago, yet my cheeks are still chubby. When I pull my cheeks back toward my ears, I have the V-line shape I'd like to have. Is the mini facelift the solution to a more visible jawbone?
Answer: Chubby cheek solutions Thank you for the question. I agree with the others that 28 is a bit too young to have a mini-lift. In your age group, less invasive procedures (e.g., midface lift, ThermiRF) can be helpful. Buccal fat removal is also a great option, but it seems that you have already had this performed. Best of luck!

Answer: Non-Surgical Face Lift / Skin Resurfacing with Renuvion/J-Plasma -- add Lasers, Microneedling/PRP, Ultherapy, FaceTite In our practice, we perform a non-surgical face lift / skin resurfacing treatment using Renuvion Helium Plasma Radiofrequency. To get the most improvement with skin tightening, we combine Renuvion (formerly J-Plasma) with lasers (Fraxel, Clear + Brilliant, CO2), microneedling/PRP, Ultherapy and InMode FaceTite. I suggest getting a formal evaluation with a cosmetic dermatologist. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Too young for a mini lift A mini lift is performed to tighten loose skin around the jawline and improve jowls. It will have minimum effect on someone your age. Buccal fat reduction is the proper procedure for full lower cheeks. You may look into non invasive technologies or liposuction to help tighten the areas of concern.

Answer: 25-34 cheeks candidate Miniface Lift normally removed skin from in front of the ear and will do very little for the cheeks. I advise you to be seen in person by a experience plastic surgeon that explain you possibilities and limitations of the recommended procedures

Answer: Should I get a mini facelift to tighten my chubby lower cheeks and give me a V-line? Hi, I have performed many facelifts over the past 30 years and many on patients in their late twenties and early thirties. The presence of "jowls" is the primary indication for some type of a facelift. Following the beauty principles outlined in my book on face and body beauty, women look the most feminine, youthful and attractive with heart shaped faces. Heart shaped faces have cheeks that are full and round in the front. Cheek augmentation using a dermal filler (I prefer Restylane Lyft) or with cheek implants for a permanent enhancement will create full, round cheeks anteriorly that will feminize the entire face. If there is excess facial fat around and or in front of the cheeks this will be liposuctioned for further facail shaping during the facelift. Jowls are sagging facial tissues and an indication for some form of a facelift, not Cheek Augmentation. I have performed many Cheek Augmentations over the past 30 years and the notion that Cheek Implants or dermal fillers alone to the cheeks will lift tissues is an urban myth. Filler to the cheeks or cheek implants will shape the cheeks but will not lift up the jowls. The underlying SMAS layer, of the face, must be dissected, lifted, trimmed and re-sutured. The excess skin is then removed and the facelift incisions closed. My most popular facelift is the minimally invasive, short incision facelift that has all the benefits of more invasive facelifts (traditional, mid-face, deep plane and subperiosteal facelifts) but with these added benefits: •very small incisions •minimal tissue dissection = less bruising and swelling = rapid recovery •can be performed in 90 minutes or less, with or without anesthesia •no incisions within the hair = no hair loss •excess fat can be removed •excess skin removed •cheeks, chin and jaw line can be augmented with dermal fillers (I prefer Restylane Lyft) or facial implants •most patients fly back home to parts all over the world in as little as 3 days post-op Hope this helps.
