FaceTite can internally tighten the skin in the lower face and neck. After all the skin has been heated and contracted, we shape the neck with liposuction to give definition and remove stubborn pockets of fat. In one quick treatment, we can tighten skin, remove fat, and contour the lower face, jawline, and jowls with only a weekend of downtime. Keep in mind that combination approaches will give you a more significant improvement as opposed to a single procedure. I recommend getting a consultation with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
The mini facelift and Quicklift procedure can be the same procedure depending upon who your surgeon is. The Quicklift procedure is a named type of mini facelift. The mini facelift encompasses all facelift procedures that use a less aggressive skin incision in order to address the issues of facial aging. More specifically, the indications for a mini facelift are patients with mild to moderate neck laxity and jowl laxity. Performing a mini facelift on an individual with significant neck laxity or an extremely heavy face would not likely achieve the results that the patient would expect. Companies that have recently filed for bankruptcy such as Lifestyle lift give promises of a weekend recovery. Most surgeons who routinely perform mini facelift procedures would tell our patients that the recovery from the procedure can still take up to two weeks.
The simple answer is that both procedures are "minilifts". The 'Quicklift" is a branded minilift procedure that relies on minimal access cranial suspension sutures (MACS) which are a circlage type suture loops placed in the SMAS. This type of procedure relies on a purely vertical lift and is most appropriate for patients without a great deal of neck laxity or platysmal bands. There are dozens of described "minilifts" and most Facelift Surgeons will utilize some variation of this procedure in their practice. Minilifts aren't appropriate for all patients and can lead to disappointment when the indications over-match the limited procedure. The critical points to minilifts are a) application of the right lift procedure to the right patient, b) understanding that a minilift is usually for lesser indications and c) a minilift does not necessarily mean less downtime than a facelift.
A mini-lift can be almost anything from a minimal amount of skin removed around the ear to a reasonable procedure but with less extensive undermining or incision. When done by someone who is truly experienced, the QuickLift (a branded procedure) is the latter. This is a procedure similar to the MACS Lift, which when done by an experienced surgeon, is an excellent procedure. Because the QuickLift is branded and there is no real oversight of the people doing the procedure you need to be very careful who the surgeon is.
Facelift Surgeons use all kinds of names for various types of facelifts, so there's no way to tell what this particular named facelift does. If you have "jowls" this is sagging facial tissues and an indication for some form of a facelift. The underlying SMAS layer, of the face, must be dissected, lifted, trimmed and re-sutured. The excess skin is then removed and the facelift incisions closed. My most popular facelift is the minimally invasive, short incision facelift that has all the benefits of more invasive facelifts (traditional, mid-face and subperiosteal facelifts) but with these added benefits:very small incisionsminimal tissue dissection = less bruising and swelling = rapid recoverycan be performed in 90 minutes or less, with or without general anesthesiano incisions within the hair = no hair lossexcess fat can be removedexcess skin removedcheeks, chin and jaw line can be augmented with dermal fillers (I prefer Perlane) or facial implantsmost patients fly back home to parts all over the world in as little as 3 days post-opHope this helps.
Thank you for your question. There are both surgical and non-surgical approaches to addressing nasolabial folds. Injectable hyaluronic acid dermal fillers can add volume to this area to reduce the appearance of the lines you’re referring to. A facelift procedure can address deep nasolabial f...
