The Tyndall effect can occur when fillers are injected too superficially or in excessive amounts, causing a bluish hue under the skin. However, please be reassured that there are options available to rectify this issue, even after several years.One common and effective treatment involves the use of hyaluronidase, an enzyme that can help dissolve any remaining filler material, thus potentially reducing the discoloration. In some cases, laser treatments such as Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) or Pulsed Dye Laser (PDL) may also be recommended to help diminish the bluish tint.
In the meantime, continue to protect the area from the sun, and consider trying a color-correcting concealer to help camouflage the blue hue. Keep in mind that cover-up makeups such as Dermablend may not be sufficient to hide the Tyndall effect, but a color-correcting concealer can help.

While it is possible that you still have some HA filler left in the area causing a Tyndall effect, it seems unlikely given that you did have it dissolved. If you see a raised area where the blue color is, you can have them try hyaluronidase again to see if there is more filler to dissolve, but more likely, you may have developed some new blood vessels or post inflammatory hyperpigmentation. An IPL treatment to target the blood vessels around 515nm wave length should close down capillaries and at the same time draw out the hyperpigmentation. A YAG or pulse dye laser can also reduce blood vessels that can be contributing to the discoloration.

It sounds like you may have some post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), hemosiderin staining or potentially extremely thinned skin from over hylenexing. It could even be that some of the filler has migrated so close to the surface that its creating a blue tint called the Tindel Effect. Treatment would depend on the actual cause. IPL that addresses red pigment could help if its staining or (PIH). If the skin is very thin, then treatments to increase collagen and perhaps even a thin filler meant for perioral lines could help. If its Tindel-more hylenex should be used.

I'm sorry to hear of the issues you've been experiencing since your treatment. Begin by visiting with an experienced injector to ensure there is no filler remaining. If there is, another treatment of hyaluronidase can improve the appearance. If not, laser treatments may help.
