I am a 53 year old woman in the Toronto area. I ultimately would like to make the tip of my nose smaller and more round. I would also like my nasal bridge to appear more strraight from the side profile. I also have difficulties breathing from my left nostril. What type of rhinoplasty procedure will I have to go through to achieve these things and how much would it approximately cost? I am claustrophobic will this affect my procedure or are there remedies such as nasal tubes to help recovery

The bump in the middle of the nasal bridge is composed of bone and cartilage, and by removing it, a straight line can be achieved. Your nasal tip is a boxy tip with a groove, and it is because the alar cartilages are separated from each other. A more defined tip can be formed through alar cartilage realignment surgery. Given that the columella deviates to the left side, a septal deviation to the left side is suspected and this is presumed to be the cause of nasal congestion. For a more accurate evaluation, it is necessary to take a CT scan or endoscopic examination, and functional improvement can be achieved through septal surgery.

Also, some tipplasty work could deliver the desired round and natural shape on the tip. This would also slightly shorten the length of your nose from the front view and deliver a natural result that is in proportion with your facial features. You will need to wear silicone plugs for the first 6 days after the operation and on the 7th day, they will be removed. You may find mouth breathing discomforting given your condition.

In addition to that It can be clearly seen that your nose wings are narrow and this may cause breathing problem too.
