I got a primary rhinoplasty through my father's recommendation 10 years ago. I always had a lot of alar show but during my primary I didn't know what to ask for and went along with my father's recommendation and ended up with a less than ideal primary rhinoplasty. I have the same amount (if not more) of alar show now and it is something I've been self conscious about for almost a decade now. I believe I would likely need a rim graft, maybe a lateral crural strut graft to widen the tip and fix the unevenness/crookedness of the front view and assuming some sort of tip rotation adjustment. I don't know what the issue is with my front view - is it an over projected tip or does it need to be rotated? If there's any suggestions please let me know! I have an upcoming consult that I've waited 2 years for and I'm feeling excited for once and I'm wondering if my expectation seems reasonable? I know it will ultimately depend on the structure of my nose/scar tissue but any advice would be appreciated!

While I can certainly see the area of concern, it is a little difficult to tell the exact etiology. I would definitely let your rhinoplasty surgeon know, first and foremost, as they may have some insight from your surgery if they expect anything...
