Lift and replace implants?

breast revision surgery is the most difficult plastic surgery procedure performed. Botched breast surgery alters normal tissue planes and laxity, the ability of breasts to heal properly, and leaves scar tissue that dramatically affects the level of difficulty of the corrective surgery.Many patients come in to correct poor outcomes from their initial surgeries. The most common problems are due to implant malposition, bottoming out of the implant, poor scarring, and incorrect implant size.While the type of revision required will depend on the result of the previous surgery and the desired result of the patient, some revisions involve extensive pocket repair that may or may not need specialized external bras.If you are considering breast surgery revision, you should speak with a board certified plastic surgeon and have yourself properly assessed. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations. Also, you have to make sure that your surgeon understands your breast augmentation goals.

Unfortunately, you have not provided photographs or told us your bra size. This will determine what type of lift you need.

Most surgeons after this amount of time would probably replace the implants. Also consider that you may need a different size than you currently have

Always difficult to predict implant lifespan.

It is easier to replace them during lift for best results. Usually, it is less expensive done together.

If you don’t change them, you may need to at another surgery.

Further discussion with your/a plastic surgeon is recommended.

To do the lift, the implants will need to be removed to avoid damage. However, once removed, they no longer have any warranty. Also, they are 11 years old. I would suggest replacing them with your lift.

You seem to have all of the facts down. The 10-15 year lifespan of breast implants is an average lifespan. This means that many implants will last for years more than that. Yours could go another 10 or 20 years. The decision to change them will be purely yours based on what you already know and can presently afford. Good luck!

I would definitely recommend replacing 11 year implants. If you’re already going to have a breast surgery.
Sailing implants at cost are not that expensive. Compared to having cosmetic surgery.
I suggest you go with what plastic surgeons have to say that you’ve consulted with.
