Am I a good candidate for just liposuction or do I need tummy tuck? (photos)

Based on your photos, I believe a mini abdominoplasty will give you the best results. While liposuction does a great job at removing unwanted fat and tissue, you will be left with excess, loose skin. A mini abdominoplasty will remove the excess tissue and tighten the lower aspect of your rectus muscles. I also liposuction the flanks of my patients in order to give them an hourglass figure. I recommend speaking with your plastic surgeon to discuss your goals and concerns.

I would recommend a modified mini lipectomy. I would also recommend liposculture as a body contouring procedure to define more your abdomen and waistline. Hi, thank you for the photos, based on them, you do have excess skin that will not improve with liposuction only, and can potentially become more noticeable. Ok bottom line, is everything is compared to how tight a full tummy tuck (and some side/back lipo) can get you... which is really, really tight! So with that in mind, 3D sculpting with liposuction 360 around your torso combined with an energy based treatment such as InMode's BodyTite and Morpheus is definitely an alternative to a full tummy. If there is just a little loose skin at the bottom, a skin excision in the same area as a Csection scar could be also done. IF muscle tightening is needed, then a mini Tummy Tuck with liposuction is also an option. This step-wise thinking is probably best planned by seeing a board certified plastic surgeon in person. Avoid any "cosmetic" surgeon who does not show his or her certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons.

You could just do liposuction if you wanted. You will still have bulging muscles under the skin from prior pregnancy and the loose skin you see when you bend over will still remain. Some women who want to avoid a TT do liposuction with or without a skin tightening procedure. If they are unhappy with the loose skin afterwards they may return for a TT. Make sure you know all of your possible options before making a decision about surgery.

If you are not planning future pregnancies, I recommend abdominoplasty with mesh reinforcement. The mesh creates a more hourglass figure by compressing the abdominal wall resulting in early satiety and helps maintain a reduced weight.

Thank you for your question. You appear to be very close to the age of needing a formal tummy tuck. And it is difficult to tell exactly without examining you and seeing how much tissue laxity you have. If you were to get a tummy tuck, you most likely would not need a full hip to hip scar. However, you may qualify for a modified mini tummy tuck. The main area that needs to be addressed is your rectus diastasis. Using a modified mini tummy tuck, some surgeons are able to tighten the muscle all the way up to the xiphoid to give you a flatter stomach. with a mini tummy tuck, some skin below the belly button is removed, and liposuction is used to contour the rest of the abdomen. Thank you for your question and photos. Based on these photos, you have an excellent body shape and anatomy. You would do well with VASER Hi Def Lipo and Renuvion skin tightening. These are done through stealth incisions (low pubic area, inside belly button, in the breast crease), so there's no sign of surgery. Your abdomen might not be completely flat due to some muscle laxity.
