It is important to get a detailed exam of the inside and outside of the nose to evaluate which part(s) of the nose are impacting the look and function of the nose. A history of trauma to the nose alone is not enough to get OHIP or insurance in the US to cover a nose surgery. Often, if the nose needs to be improved functionally (i.e. straightening the nasal bones, correcting the septum) can be combined with cosmetic improvements to the nose and this is where someone can have insurance pay for part of the surgery. However, if there is no functional issue with the nose, or if you would prefer to pay for this surgery entirely out-of-pocket, and be able to pick your specific surgeon, then you can pay for the whole surgery including the surgeon's fee and the anesthesia/facility fee.
