Misshapen nose due to injury many years ago. Potential OHIP coverage?

Question

Would a visibly asymmetric nose due to an injury that happened while I was a child have potential to be covered by OHIP for its correction? I would want the procedure to be very minimalist, as I don't really want a "new nose", I just think my current nose needs a correction. I see that pricing in many places in the Toronto are about $7000, but from what I can see that there's been a significant change in most who post on here.If not for OHIP coverage, How much would it cost for a subtle approach?

It is important to get a detailed exam of the inside and outside of the nose to evaluate which part(s) of the nose are impacting the look and function of the nose. A history of trauma to the nose alone is not enough to get OHIP or insurance in the US to cover a nose surgery. Often, if the nose needs to be improved functionally (i.e. straightening the nasal bones, correcting the septum) can be combined with cosmetic improvements to the nose and this is where someone can have insurance pay for part of the surgery. However, if there is no functional issue with the nose, or if you would prefer to pay for this surgery entirely out-of-pocket, and be able to pick your specific surgeon, then you can pay for the whole surgery including the surgeon's fee and the anesthesia/facility fee. A thorough internal and external examination of the nose  with photographs are going to be required to make a determination how best to proceed. A rhinoplasty procedure is performed for asymmetry to make the nose look better, however this is cosmetic and must be paid for by the patient. If there's an internal breathing problem requiring a septoplasty, then this component can be billed the patient's medical insurance. Preauthorization and medical necessity must be documented before billing any medical insurance. The cost of a rhinoplasty procedure is based upon three fees which include  operating room, anesthesia, and surgeon's fees. Digital computer imaging of your nose upon your facial features would be helpful to understand what  can and cannot be accomplished with the procedure.
