This photo is 3 weeks post HIFU face lifting. What is this reaction and what should I do now? (Photos)

The photos reveal a mild erythema maybe due to some hypersensitivity of the skin. What is important is the quality of the machine as well as the staff doing the procedure. For facial aesthetics, I usually d not prefer treatments consisting of energy focusing under the skin. To my belief, these treatments will unevenly cause fibrosis of the subcutaneous tissue also resulting in fat atrophy, which will end in a more aging skin.

High Intense Focus Ultrasound (Hi FU) for your face is a non surgical skin technology that claims is lifts the face. Any non surgical treatment that involves heat (Ultrasound, laser or radiofrequency) does provoke a skin reaction that ranges from mild erythema (redness), some blotching of skin and even some swelling. The photographs that you supplies seen to be normal and I am unsure if one is before or after. In any case seek advice from your treating clinic ASAP.

Hi there and thank you for your enquiry. Unfortunately we can only guess what exactly you are concerned with, since you haven't described your concerns. We see a bit of swelling, which is not unusual after application of energy into the skin. We advise you to reach out to your specialist and discuss the reaction and measures to take to minimise the swelling. Good luck

Thank you for posting your question and photographs. It is a little unclear what you are referring to in your photographs - is it swelling?  I would advise returning to see your doctor and discussing your concerns with them in person so that they can advise you.

I am uncertain on the side effect that you are concern about. Is it the swelling or what it seems a skin reaction.Ulthera may give you swelling to the treated area. usually there are no skin complications with this procedure due to the depth of work.Finally, make sure that your doctor is aware of your process. He should be able to guide you best in your care.
