Fat augmentation of the lips vs. filler. You are correct. I have used fat augmentation of the lips for 40 years and it lasts forever after about a 50% loss by 3 months and then no more. The lips look and feel natural and I never had an infection or other complication that required another procedure.

So I honestly don't believe that Fat Transfer to the lips is the best procedure for you.  Fat is such a wonderful material and can be used so many places to augment breasts and buttocks, rejuvenate hands and genitalia, and enhance a woman's natural curvy figure.  But it is not my personal first choice in the lips where uneven absorption can be disastrous.  As an alternative, please consider Silikon 1000.  I have had so many happy patients over the past ten years that I have used it, using Silikon 1000 in the lips.  The results are amazing and of course are permanent.  Good luck!

Studies have shown that at least 35 to 50 percent of fat transferred to the face stays permanently, but each patient reacts differently.
