When will I see the absolute final result from my tummy tuck surgery?

from a tummy tuck to be apparent, although you can expect significant results
after six weeks. From the three-month to
twelve-month mark, these changes will occur at a diminishingly smaller
rate.

The body has to heal on the inside and outside.  Skin needs to shrink and scars soften or change color.  The final result from all surgery requires at least one year.  Of course, you should see a positive alteration in your appearance after  6 weeks to 3 months.  But have patience. 

Thank you for your question. Unfortunately each patient is different in their healing and recovery times, in addition to differences based on the type of tummy tuck and extent of liposuction performed.  Most patients will fall within the 6 - 12 month window for FINAL results.

Your healing time is up to one year, but most patients achieve almost their final look between 3 and 6 months. If you started lifting and strenous activites early, you still might have a fair amount of swelling.

Is different form patient to patient do to particular conditions of each organism.Some people see final results at 4 month and others, the most common, at 6 month.Take care, talk always to your surgeon and have patience, your are still in recovery period.

There is no right answer for the general population, and it really depends on each individual patient and the rate of their healing.  I would say that you should see your full results anywhere from six months to a year after your procedure. Scar maturation and activity persists for 18 months after any incision.  Thus in theory body is actively working in your surgical field for 18 months.  However it is safe to assume that you have maximized your visible improvement in 6 months.  

There is no single answer that is applicable to all patients. Some have achieved a final outcome by 3 months, and for others it may take a year.   Scar maturation may take a full year, whereas the contour improvement is usually complete earlier.  I suspect that the patients with washboard abdomens right away, and those with pounces some months later were not the very similar in their pre-op appearance. Your question can better be answered by your surgeon who knows what was done and is following your progress.  All the best. 

Thank for your question. You are well into the healing process at this point. However healing from surgery will take time. In the initial phase after surgery, within the first three months, there is a period of inflammation and scarring that must occur in order for you to heal. Over ensuing months these processes will subside and the inflammatory process gives way to scar softening and remodeling. I tell my patients that they will not see their final results for at least to 6 months.I would recommend that you remain patient and discuss your concerns with your surgeon. This will allow you and your surgeon the chance to discuss options available should this persist and help allay any anxieties you may be experiencing.I hope this helps. Good luck.
