I am almost 3 months post op and wanted to ask how much swelling should i have and when to see the final result? Is it possible for everything to go down and settle at 3 months or does it take longer? Some peoppe have flat washboard stomachs right after surgery and some have rounder pouches 2-3 months after surgery. When can i expect to see the FINAL RESULT?

Thank
you very much for your question and photographs. It is impossible to determine, without
performing a physical examination, whether or not you have a true hernia or a
diastasis. I would strongly recommend that
you schedule a consultation with a general surgeon, and an abdominal CT...
This can occur and since you are only 2 months I would use heat and massage and wait.Swelling in some areas can persist for months. The belly button may shrink down too.
Thank you for your question and photos. It is likely swelling. You should consult again with your surgeon to make sure everything looks ok. It is normal to have swelling up to 3 months after such a surgery. Best of luck and congrats on your surgery!!- Dr. Bryson Richards
