Will I gain weight disproportionately if I get pregnant after having Emsculpt treatments?

I’m interested in EMS Sculpt but am planning to conceive within the next few years. Will this inevitable weight gain result in disproportionate fat accumulation in untreated areas?

Hi Emily,
Emsculpt will build muscle and reduce superficial fat on the abdomen while it will build muscle and lift the buttocks with or without reducing fat in the derriere.  Should you get pregnant after your Emsculpt treatment, you should not gain weight disporportionately.  Good luck with your "new family to be!!!"

EMSculpt will not only build muscle and tone the abdomen, but it will also get rid of about 20% of the fat between the muscle and the skin. This fat loss won't make you "disproportionate" but you will have less fat there. Thank you for your question. I do not think that you would gain weight disproportionately after Emsculpt treatment. Even for patients who gain weight after other non-surgical treatments, this does not appear to be a problem. Most patients who undergo any type of body contouring, try to maintain a stable weight with diet and exercise. If you can't exercise, Emsculpt may be just the thing for you.Good luck

No issues with disproportionate weight gain.  It does lead to some fat cell reduction but if you gain weight you will gain weight in the same areas as you would if you didn't have the treatment.

Hi emilyuh,Thanks for your question. Emsculpt will increase your muscle mass and also eliminate fat in the abdominal area. As the fat elimination is permanent, if you gain weight (due to pregnancy or not) the fat cells that remain in the area will grow/expand.  There will be nothing disproportionate about the weight gain. The EmSculpt device uses high intensity focused electromagnetic energy to build muscle and reduce fat in the abdomen and buttocks. The recommended treatment with EmSculpt are two sessions the first week, followed by two sessions the second week for a total of four treatments. The Emsculpt treatment will build muscle and burn fat, but will not cause you to gain fat disproportionately after treatment. You should also consider treatments with EmSculpt after delivering, as this will strengthen your abdominal muscle wall which can ultimately improve diastasis recti in post-partum women!
