Does Emsculpt build muscle and burn fat for the butt treatment or just build muscle?

Hi Nutripea,Good question.  Just this afternoon I asked my patient having her first buttlifting treatment with Emsculpt whether she wished to keep or lose the fat on her butt.  Emsculpt has two treatment protocol settings, one that burns fat and one that does not (both settings do build muscle.)  Prior to any Emsculpt treatment of the buttocks it is important to let your physician know what your wishes are, a thinner tush, or a Kardashian special.  Good luck and be well.Dr. P

Hello Nutripea,Emsculpt has two different treatment protocols, muscle building and fat burning or just muscle building. With the buttocks you can choose which is best  depending on your desired result. I recommend scheduling a consultation with a  physician near you to ensure this is the right treatment for you. 

Great question!  The treatment protocols for abdomen and buttocks are different. For the buttock treatment protocol, it builds muscle but does not burn fat. Whereas for the abdomen, it does both.   Emsculpt is specifically cleared for improvement of abdominal tone and strengthening and toning of the buttocks so it sounds like you would be an excellent candidate!  Good luck!

Thank you for your excellent question regarding Emsculpt. Emsculpt offers two different protocols.  One that burns fat and builds muscle and a separate setting for muscle building only. Most people want the fat burning and muscle building for the abdomen but only muscle building for the gluteal region. That could vary depending on the patient.  Thus far, our patients have been very happy with their results of both treatment areas.

EMSculpt has two protocols. One is for the abs and one is for the buttocks. The protocol for the abs has long high frequency pulses that create a large amount of metabolites from the muscle being treated. These metabolites overwhelm the surrounding fat causing about a 20% fat loss in the area being treated. great question. there are settings for different protocols on the machine depending on what you wish to achieve, there are setting that build more muscle than burn fat and vice versa. speak to your experienced provider so that they clearly understand your desires

EMSculpt has to protocols.  One for treatment with fat loss and one without fat loss.   Ttypically when treating the butt we used the protocol that spares fat.  Each patient is different and we do use the protocol to lose fat when indicated.  I would advise discussing this with your practitioner which will help choose the best way to proceed.
