I would like to have a breast augmentation, but my dermatologist does not recommend it until 6 months post-accutane. Based on my own research, the risk for hypertrophic scars was based on research from the 1980s that was not that rigorous and more recent literature suggests otherwise. I am trying to find non-bias opinions on this.

You pose a really interesting question. I am sorry you had a complication - no one likes complications and on FTM top confirmation surgery nipple necrosis is really, really frustrating because the whole goal of the surgery is to make you look and feel great even without a shirt on.

While in the initial photo the area appears to be bruised it does not appear to be the case in the subsequent photos. If you are not able to visit with your surgeon then an appointment with a dermatologist may be a good idea.
