It's possible to have CO2 laser and blepharoplasty at the same time in the same setting, as long as you're a good candidate for both. Be sure to discuss your goals and concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon and consider the pros and the cons. Be certain your surgeon is properly certified. I've attached a link where you can start your search.
Depending on the power and density settings, fractionated CO2 laser can be performed simultaneously with other facial procedures including Blepharoplasty and even some face lifts. I have safely done this on many occasions without complication. I have not performed laser over skin that is compromised by concurrent skin elevation or over areas that may be affected by heat such as areas of fat grafting or superficially placed injectable fillers. Hi Mac,Yes it is fine to combine blepharoplasty with fractionated CO2 laser of the face at the same time, we do it all of the time. Make sure to choose your treating physician most carefully. Good luck and be well.Dr. P
Yes, you can have both procedures at the same time. It is common to do them together. The surgery will address structural issues such as eyelid bags and excess skin. The laser improves fine lines and the overall quality of the skin.
Dear mmcdonald102Thank you for your question! Laser resurfacing can be done at the same time- BUT, It may take longer to recover from both. With Warm RegardsTrevor M Born MD
There should be no problem having the procedures done at the same time. We frequently do lower lid surgery and do the laser at the same time to improve the skin texture. But can also do the whole face if you want.
The short answer is yes, you may have both simultaneously. However, in some cases we would stage the laser second if we were trying to hide the blepharoplasty scars, because the eyelids themselves can receive fractionated CO2 laser. Also, in some cases we would use fractionated CO2 laser resurfacing of the eyelids in combination with autologous fat transfer as an alternative to traditional blepharoplasty. And so, I would recommend in-person consultation with an experienced facial cosmetic surgeon to analyze your unique situation and to learn about your options.
Yes, most certainly these may be done together. In fact the combination treatment is one that I do on a routine basis so that the patient does not have to undergo the anesthesia twice. The combined results of the improved quality of skin on the face and the lids make a very significant difference than just doing the upper bleph.
It is possible to have a blepharoplasty at the same time as a laser procedure. It all depends upon what areas are treated with the laser.
Yes, it is possible to undergo a blepharoplasty procedure and CO2 fractional laser treatments simultaneously under one anesthesia with one period.
Yes, it appears that you have a negative canthal tilt as well as a negative vector in your cheek region. It does not appear that you have lower lid retraction as you do not appear to have significant scleral show.
About 10% of people now have allergies to the ointments you are using - Bacitracin and Neomycin. I would just stop the ointments at this point. If red and itchy I would ask your doctor to give you just a steroid cream/ointment with no antibiotics. Infections in the lids are very rare, so th...
Based on the pictures, it appears that you have an epicanthal fold. Yes, this can be corrected with surgery. I recommend you consult with a plastic surgeon with expertise in blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), and they should be able to guide you.Best,Dr. Michael EpsteinMAE Plastic Su...
